I have had mostly v hull type boats over the years. I believe that the roller is for the Keel of a V hull. I would take the roller off and add a block of wood covered with carpet for support.

I just bought a Jon boat with a cd 18 Johnson 5.5 hp. Started on the third pull and runs great. My question is I see no "pee" line. I am not sure that the impeller is pumping. I see no water coming out of the exhaust in the middle of the shaft either. Should I see water coming out somewhere...
