    Paint for Covering Goop Coat-It

Yea I really want to stay away from the ablative paints, but also don't want whatever I use to end up bubbling off like some of the horror stories you hear. I haven't looked, does the Rustoleum work over epoxy or does it need bare aluminum? I see a lot of paints made for aluminum application...

    Paint for Covering Goop Coat-It

Hello, Been awhile since I've been on here but wanted to seek your guys' opinion. The 1974 Lund S16 I redid some years back is due for some love. https://forum.tinboats.net/viewtopic.php?p=459422#p459422 The original trailer had carpeted bunks which eventually resulting in some pitting and...

Is the 2nd Gen Terrova really THAT bad?

I have an XI5. I'll never, ever own another boat without some sort of GPS enabled trolling motor.

    Things are warming up

What's "truck trout" mean? Never heard that term.

    Multi tool type boat

My do-all is my 16' Lund S-16 that I recently did some mods to. I duck hunt out of it, freshwater fish (mainly crappie), and take it into Tampa Bay and the backwaters and flats. I still need a mud boat for some of the duck hunting I do, but it works for about 90% of my needs.

For Gary or anyone else in real South FL.

You don't even have to go all the way to Miami, but a Glades trip would be fun. There are tons of exotics to catch in the glades and the canals south of Fort Myers. Chiclids and all sorts of stuff, was even a big red tail catfish caught down there. I can't give any pointers, but I'm sure you'd...

    Tough hooks

Gamakatsu is all I use offshore when I'm digging grouper and snapper off the bottom with drag locked down. Can't remember the last time I broke one of them.

    Home Brewing

I used to make beer and wine, but have since cut back to just wine. I mainly do the fast wines, "skeeterpee," "dragon's blood" etc. Haven't run a batch in awhile, about to close on a house with a big garage and am really looking forward to getting back into it. Best bet as far as buying...

    Unknown 1449 Total makeover

Check out the EVA foam for the decking (SeaDek knockoff) that you can find on amazon and ebay. I used it on my Lund build and am really really happy with it.

    Lowrance Fish Finders

I through-bolted a piece of starboard with a bunch of 5200 to seal it on my transom, then screwed my transducer to it so the adjustments wouldn't require a new transom hole each time.

    tin boats in salt

I run my 16' Lund all over Tampa bay. I do like to stop on the way home and dunk the trailer a couple times at a freshwater ramp.

    New Member in Tampa Bay

Welcome from Lakeland! I fish over in Tampa here and there, heading over to the upper bay tomorrow morning for some early morning duck hunting then going to try fishing to see what we can find. I just bought a flyrod, haven't even tried casting it in the backyard yet. Duck season ends the...

Yamaha F25ESHA intermittent push button start

Forgot to come back and update this. It was, in fact, a bad wire going from the neutral safety switch to the solenoid. Thanks for everyone's contributions.

Yamaha F25ESHA intermittent push button start

Since I cut open the wire bundle and messed with it last week, every time I walk by this thing I mash the button to see if I can get it to act up again so I can put the meter on it and find where the actual problem is. So far, no luck. It fires right over. Every. Single. Time. I think I'm...
