Thank You guys for the advise, All i did was tap on the 60 hp starter and on the motor for the trim and they both started to work. the mech. said because they had sit so long they kind of froze up. Thank You guys again for the advise. Dave

I have a 1988 Merc. 60 HP, it was running sept. of 2010 a Mechanic got it running, now all it does is hum at the starter, I was told to tap on the starter untill it starts or turns over, will this hurt the starter. All the power trim does is humms when trying to raise and lower the motor...

I used standared 3\4 plywood and put about 4 coats of spar urathane on the wood.

Derek, I got 2 LED lights 8 inches long light blue lights off of iboats.com 13 bucks ea. they are bright, I am going to put them under the console and under the plywood floor where your feet go that hangs over by the console. Just FYI thanks Dave :)
