found the manual in the sticky posts, I wasn't able to use the log in on the one I've used in the past and didn't see there is another post with the manuals.
i don't need new ball bearings, just want to make sure i get them back in the right place.
if anyone has a manual for this trim/tilt i'm still interested. or if anyone knows the correct procedure to fill and bleed it? thanks
A little hammering and it split in half. The center drive gear was really jammed. Seemed like the end the motor shaft goes in was mushroomed out. There also were some burrs around the hole it's in but that could've been from disassembly. Some fine grit sandpaper and it's spinning free again...
Picked up a parts motor 0A745967 to take the tilt and trim from. Anyone have a service manual for the tilt and trim? Or know how much fluid it should take?
It ran slow up and down to start with, I was hoping it just needed to be topped of with fluid and air bleed out. I raised the motor up and...
Got the rivets and resin ordered and the old transom out. Also got some more water logged foam out, the whole floor was the same way. Boat might be 2 or 300 pounds lighter.
This transom didn't go all the way to the bottom of the boat. Wondering if the new one should? Guessing its to stop it...

for your epoxy plugs could you go into a little more detail on how to go about it. how oversized are you making them? lets say for a 1/4 bolt do you use 1/2 inch hole? bigger? just fill them with epoxy...
I'm going to be replacing the transom on my 1542 Monark and just want to make sure I'm going about it the right way. there is a bulk head that I need to remove to get at the transom. the bulk head has some large rivets and a small weld holding it in place.
first question is where can I find...
well i got the motor apart but didn't find a hole. starting to wonder if it was a gasket leak and the previous owner just thought there was a hole. the good news is the pistons and everything look to be in great shape, i'd guess this motor has fairly low hours for it's age.
i ordered a gasket...
i was told that the motor i picked up has a small hole in the block somewhere but i haven't been able to locate it from the outside, i was told that it was leaking water. i picked up this motor to use as a parts motor(electrical) for another motor and now that i have the other one working i...
