I'm currently working on fixing up and outfitting a 16' MonArk jon boat to chaise crappie and cats. Been fishing out of my folks' pontoon and it just doesn't work well on the stumpy lake that I like to fish. The MonArk looks like a turd but it just needs a lot of TLC. Finally got the 20+ year old lien removed (previous owner let it go into repo) and now I'm hunting for a 15hp motor.
I need to replace the wood in the transom and re-enforce it where the aluminum has cracked and possibly fix the drain hole. The drain hole is out of round and mushroomed/cracked on the inside but it is a really slow leak. I'm debating leaving it alone for right now and just carrying a syphon pump with me if I'm going to be out for an extended period.
