    Finally got my boat!

The trailer was $550. It has a fully adjustable tongue so it can accommodate up to a 16 foot boat without problems. 12 inch wheels, galvanized. I'm happy with it.

    Finally got my boat!

Hi all, today was the day I paid for my boat, and brought her home. Picked up a 2007 G3 1236. Got it at a good price being a leftover '07 model. Also picked up a Yacht Club trailer to haul her with. Thinking about shortening the tongue on the trailer so it doesn't look so awkward. Can't...

    Going Ice Fishing

Haha. I tried ice fishing today on Moosehead Lake, in Maine.... it was 11º out, windy, and snowing... Needless to say, I didn't last long. Ended up inside watching old Bond flicks. Guess I need a Snow Bear :-k

    What did santa bring you?

Yea, there's a bit of a price tag on them. It was my "big" present cuz of that.... some other camping odds and ends. I went with the 400t (preloaded Topographic maps) because I do a lot of hunting and shlupping through the woods to remote trout ponds :D .

    6hp Yamaha

Hi all, This is probably going to sound like a very novice question... but here goes. I recently purchased a Yamaha 6 hp 2 stroke outboard. The model is a 6 mshy (manual ign, short shaft, handle, year 2000). Pics: I'm looking at hooking it up to a G3 1236 Jon. The boat will have a light...

It's official. This morning I made a deposit on a G3 1236 and a Yachtclub trailer. Had to make the deposit because I cant make the trip down to NH to pick them up until next week. Headed upta' camp on Moosehead Lake for some Ice fishing for the next couple of days. I want it NOW!.... I can't...

    Cheap (decent) Trailer recommendations?

Thanks for the input russ. Nice walkthrough on photobucket btw!!! Those pics should prove helpful when i get to that stage. What are you running for a motor on your 12x36? I can really go either way on the 12 or 14. It will generally be just me fishing in it. Most of my gear is fly fishing...

    Cheap (decent) Trailer recommendations?

Definitely. I never considered the 1232 for that reason. I plan on adding decks and flooring, and I dont think it would be all that stable.... Does anyone else have any advice to offer on a 12 foot vs. 14 foot? The more thought I give the 14 foot, the more I like it. I'm just worried my 6 hp...

    Your Biggest Bass?

Not too much of a bass fisherman myself. Caught this one last summer at night on a jitterbug. It was around 5lbs. I like going for these guys much more

    Cheap (decent) Trailer recommendations?

Thanks for all the advice guys! The Lowe 1236 Jons are going for $699 in the Marine catalog from Cabelas. Unfortunately, we only have 1232's at my store, and I'm not interested in the hassle of shipping one from the store in Louisiana to Maine. ](*,) (The shipping quote was more than the...

    Cheap (decent) Trailer recommendations?

Hi all, New to the forum. I am in the process of putting together a jon boat setup for myself. This will be my first boat! I'm looking at a Lowe 1236 Jon. So far, the Cabelas here in Scarborough, ME has the best price on them (that's including my employee discount 8) ) Just yesterday I picked...
