OK got the wood out and decided to remove the foam and glad I did since the bottom third was saturated with water. Now I think that I won't replace it or the seat pods and deck out with aluminum. Need to find somone willing to put in an aluminum transom. Thanks to everyone for theie help.

Okay so I had to drill out way more rivets than I wanted to to get the rotted transom wood out and am thinking about how am I gonna replace these. I do not have an air compressor. Im curious if anyone has set these solid rivets with just hand tools and how did they work out. Any recommendations...

The foam is not water-logged but is in the way. Hesitant to pull all out since it does provide support to the pods if someone were to stand on them and I don,t know if I did remove them if I could glue them back in. I'll give the screw driver a try. Thanks for the help. JMichael checked out...

Ok I removed the rear seat pods and drilled our all of the rivets holding the lower tramsom support to the tramsom wall plate. I thought once I moved the lower support that the wood would be relatively easy to pull out. But it appears that the top lip is actually clamping on the top of the wood...

Bassboy1, I agree with your assessment. Removing the side pods is probably the best way to go. Looks like Im going to get some experience setting solid rivets. Thanks 1

Here is the backside of the stern. As you can see to top piece which the top of the wood fits into is integral with the backside of the stern.

Here is another. Hope you can see that the top piece is integral with the end caps which are welded to the sides of the boat. At the bottom of the wood piece is a piece of aluminum holding the wood. The far end of this piece is hidden behind seat pieces. I may have to remove those seat pieces on...
