Good information rude. I like as wide as I can get. occasional bow fishing happens so I like stability. that would work well for a1652? I'm a evinrude fan myself. I'd love a 75 rude with atiller but i'm not sure if they have it.

I'm not dead set on that boat size.I was fishing from a 14 foot v hull Jon. And it did the job. Except for making it through shoals. But it wasn't a jet.

I made one for my jon boat, I used 2 3" angle aluminum rods for the bases, and 2 more flipped to make it adjustable. Secured it with four SS bolts and two sheets of marine grade plywood. let me see if i can find a picture.

Where is a good place to get UHMW? I'd also like to see some boats with this installed. Is screwing / Bolting the stuff to the boat the only solution?

I heat up a the area of the boat with a propane torch and ram hot glue into any leaky problems... works well for me. especially on just leaky rivets. Or i've heard gluvit works well too on aluminum boats.

tha'd be awesome! I regularly float the river from riverside dam to chickasaw via canoe. But i'm looking for something that can take UP and down the river. I don't plan on using the boat on "big" water. It'd only make it to the lake less than 5% of the time I'd say.
