    I Had a 225 OPTIPOP back in 2000, It blew twice on me under warranty, I would steer clear of OPTImaxs and maybe look into a EFI Model....I Know on the earlier Optipops they tried to run them TOO lean......

    I used 23/32 plywood and sealed and stained it Honey Brown, theres about a 25% difference in weight between treated/marine plywood and regular plywood.....sealed all the holes and compartments and put silicone in all screw holes......

I used 2 3 gallon tanks, fit perfect and tight, I used a jet ski battery, cut abot 20 lbs...its turning over an 18 hp 1989 Mercury....It runs about 22-23 mph by myself...............It also...
