Yeah I think I am going down the same road. Bad news is the crappie are on and I need the well. I just might fill the well with water then keep the transom plug installed. At least that way I know I have water and with the stand pipe in, no leak. May have to resort to adding ice.

I had a live well drain line break right at the transom. Found the black tube and used Schedule 80 pipe to join the new piece to the remaining original piece. Checked it out when I was done. Put a plug in the drain line at the transom. Filed the live well and still had a leak. Not as bad as it...
