    New Guy From New England

Have you ever found out any more info on our boats since we spoke last? I had 2 offers lately but I think they were just after the Highlander trailer. Any idea on the value? I have an electric motor on mine.

    195? Grumman Boat Wood seats

Not too fast man, I just read an old ad for these rowboats being made by Pearson Boats for a short time. They advertised "pickled mahogany for durability". All I can say is that teak wears like iron and these seats clean up very nicely. I'm still leaning toward teak.

    Rant !!!

Time to rant. I recently acquired a Grumman aluminum rowboat I believe was built in the 50's. The model and serial number is G-13C #3222. Twice now I have written to Marathon Boat Co. in Marathon, NY., who now makes the Grumman's regarding age and a little history of that model, and no...

Grumman circa 1950's. I sent them 2 emails and no response yet. I better call them for a date of manufacture.

    195? Grumman Boat Wood seats

Here are 2 close-ups. I'm leaning toward teak because the seats are about 55 years old and teak is the kind of wood that lasts that long without any maintenance. But then again, it could be mahogany because of the wider streaks of grain. I'm just not sure but I thank you for your time and...

    195? Grumman Boat Wood seats

I was wondering if someone on this site knows their wood grain? I have a newly acquired 195? Grumman 13' boat. I recently posted some pics and since then I took a hose and tire brush to the seats to clean them up a bit. There is no doubt the seats are original. I threw a quick brushing of teak...

    New Guy From New England

I found out through very random investigating on the net. They started making the boats in Marathon NY in 1952 and mine has a Marathon tag. I saw catalogs from 1961 or 2 and they already moved away from the flat bottom to a semi-v hull. In 1972 companies were required to have 12 character hull...
