    Censorship

I don't understand the images of the flag or eagles causing a problem. I have enjoyed your posts on this forum. I am sorry to see you leave. But I understand. PC has gone way too far when our flag apparently triggers some folks. Upon reflection, I am also out. I wish all of you the best.

    Bow Mounted trolling motor

My bow plate also has a compound curve. I milled a couple pieces of leftover starboard to fit - kind of like shims. I would like to be wrong, but it looks like your bow plate isn't large enough to mount a trolling motor. A simple fix would be to attach a plate on top of it. Could be store...

    Must be nuts

Sounds perfectly sane to me, haha. But we do need some pic's. BTW, I always wondered where they came up with that name for the salad dressing. Sounds like it is a real place.

    Motorguide the latest to fail

What I didn't know was Motorguide, Lowrance, and Simrad share the same parent company, Navico. Navico in turn is owned by Brunswick Corp, which also owns Mercury Marine and a long list of boat brands. Crazy.

    Adding T-track to narrow gunwale?

Looks like you have a perfect solution. @Tin Man added T-tracks to the inside of his gunnel. See this link (if I did it right): https://www.tinboats.net/threads/gunnel-track-on-my-alumacraft-v16.50138/

Anyone try Rhino Liner or LINE-X on an aluminum deck?

Yeah, I would feel the same way. And, I agree with what you said earlier about the DIY bed liners. Tough choice when there are no clear winners.

    Can't Get Out!

I loved my RAM 1500 Laramie with the eco diesel. Best truck I ever owned. We needed a family wagon to fit all the grandkids, so it was replaced with a Honda Pilot. I could have kept it but didn't want a spare vehicle sitting around. My son has it now.

Anyone try Rhino Liner or LINE-X on an aluminum deck?

I see that they can tint the Rhino Liner to any color. I assume same with the epoxy. That is a nice option to have.

    Can't Get Out!

I made a winter visit to my son when he attended college in Decorah, IA. To quote Grandpa Gustafson, it was Butt Cold. We are spoiled around here by the weather. Only winterizing I do is a thicker hooded sweatshirt.

    1999 Crestliner Project

Wow, nice fabrication. I'm sure you already know to use a backer under the DR mounts. My down riggers are mounted on top of enclosed aluminum boxes filled with foam. I used a piece of 1/2" exterior ply as a backer almost as big as the top of the box.

Anyone try Rhino Liner or LINE-X on an aluminum deck?

I would say it definitely needs to be wrapped over the edges. Since it cannot be stapled on the underside, I would guess a contact cement would be used. But in all honesty, I don't know. I also saw the epoxy flooring stuff on the Rhino liner site. Interesting.

Anyone try Rhino Liner or LINE-X on an aluminum deck?

You say it very well. I hate to see bed-liner products on boats because people misuse it to hide problems. I can see it used for a floor covering, but the adhesion and water intrusion issues you mention would be a big concern. I know it wasn't asked -- I am a huge fan of vinyl. Easy on...

    Can't Get Out!

Well, since it looks like the wind forecasts for the lakes is not improving, plan B is to head the other direction for some surf fishing. Should be mid 60's with wind max at 12 mph. Got a high tide at about mid day to fish through. At least I'll get some exercise.

I was recently sitting at an airport waiting for a flight. I would say easily 9 of 10 of my fellow passengers were looking at their phones. It is kind of sobering how they have become a critical accessory. BTW, I can't really point fingers because at the time I made this observation I was...
