New live sonar that doesn't reqired a FF

I wonder if any company is manufacturing 100% of the components that are part of the final product. I wonder if Humminbird gives factory tours. I would do that if I were to find myself in Eufaula. All I know is if they need someone on the west coast to do some product testing, I'm...

How’s the weather been this boating season in your area?

We have had almost perfect weather here up north for the last week. Staring early next week we will be in the high 90's so I guess it isn't over yet. On those hot summer days I'm usually at the ramp by about 6:30 and leaving before noon.

A little foggy start last week.

Used to be a common occurrence along Hwy99 which runs north/south in California's Central Valley. One of the worst involved 108 vehicles with two dead and 41 injured. That one was extreme. Still those pile up accidents were common. Might still be, IDK. In the old days when tule fog was...

Yup, I have the side bunks. Not long ones like yours but they work.

I think I might do a little shaving so it fits without having to hammer it in place.

Fish Finder recommendations - Stryker 4 Vivid vs PiranhaMax 4 DI

If no base map that would defeat the purpose for me.

A little foggy start last week.

Water looks like glass. Nice pic! We get the heavy tule fog in the Central Valley. The lakes I go to are sometimes high enough to be above it, but if not, it is slow going until it burns off.

Fish Finder recommendations - Stryker 4 Vivid vs PiranhaMax 4 DI

The only fish finders I've had are Hummingbird. I graduated from the PiranhaMax to a Helix 7. I thought the PiranhaMax was pretty neat but of course it is a small screen and limited to sonar. It looks like the Garmin Stryker will do a split screen. That is kind of cool, IMO. With my...

70’s Starcraft 14’ Seafarer “By Golly”

Aw, that makes sense. Best not have the TM bouncing around while towing the boat. I made a TM stabilizer out of a piece of PVC pipe that sits in a flush mount rod holder.

I would be a great place to put a fuse block, and have room leftover.

Not a match made in heaven!

I sure agree with that. The chines on my boat are just inside the fenders. Not enough for me to lower the boat. down between them. I get a little envious every time I see a boat sitting on a trailer like the one in your pic.

No sorry. I'm not the guy to ask about rivets. I do know if installed properly they should last years.
