    Bunk board and Trex

I will likely do that. Will also have to remember not to unhook my boat until I'm backed down the ramp, as I'm sure it will slide much easier on the Trex boards. Definitely do not want to drop it on the ramp #-o #-o #-o

    Bunk board and Trex

Since having the bottom of my boat coated with line-x, it doesn't like to slide on my carpeted bunks. It didn't affect the top speed, but it sure affected my ability to just power load like I could before. Maybe I need to use the Trex boards on top of my bunks.

    what ever happend to aquality?

Paint flaking off has everything to do with improper etching and priming of the aluminum. Aluminum instantly forms an oxide on contact with the air. This oxide barrier is what protects it from corrosion. Unfortunately, it's also what prevents paints from adhering correctly, at least not without...

    boat insurance?

I went through Geico for a policy with Seaworthy Insurance for my jet boat. It's covered for $11,000, at a premium of about 160 dollars a year.

    Foam for under floor?

The best foam you can use is the pink or blue extruded styrofoam board. Typical thickness required for under floors is 1.5 inches. White 'bead board' styrofoam can also be used, although, it's a bit messy because of all the little white beads when you cut it. Both of these are closed-cell foams.

anyone know how to quiet a two stroke.

Cedar River Scooter, if it was me, I would simply build a wider box that would fit over the existing box and bolt it in place with some type of bracket, or directly overlapped and bolted. With the add-on box being about 3-4 inches wider on each side of your existing one, you should have more...

    LED Navigation Lights vs USCG

It's OK, just flip the boat upside down, then the lights will be correctly oriented. :LOL2:

Spearfishing from a 12ft vhull? help

OK, here are a few pics of my rear platform: Basically scrapped it together, using some leftover aluminum, but it works!

    Re: 16ft Monark?

There are basically 2 methods of doing this. The cut-and-splice method, where the hull of the jet ski is cut away, including the engine and pump, and that is bolted into the bottom of the boat as one piece. The fabricated aluminum method, which means fabricating mounts for the engine and...

Spearfishing from a 12ft vhull? help

Since I'm not as young and graceful as I used to be, it's a little harder to climb back in my boat when we're anchored up, swimming. With my jet boat, it's not a problem, as it has a boarding platform, and I've gotten used to having that luxury. However, my other boat is an outboard, and I...

    Pump Suction Housing(s)

Yeah, .75" thick would be able to handle just about any impact. The Yamaha OEM pump intakes might be .075" which is paper thin. Here's the link/information for Impros: https://impros.com/store/

    Pump Suction Housing(s)

First off, great looking intake duct! =D> That design looks like it would be a LOT easier to fit into the hull than the Yamaha OEM pump, with that ridiculous wedge shape along the inside. How thick is the duct? Reason I ask is Yamaha OEM ducts are very thin cast aluminum, and that's the only...

anyone know how to quiet a two stroke.

Well at least your 2 stroke engine isn't THAT loud! Even as cool as that "jet" boat looks, I don't really see the fun in having to wear flight deck earmuffs to be able to go for a boat ride.

Almost 50% of US climate data is FAKED!

Yep, where I live on the coast of SC used to be under 100 feet of water. The remains of fossilized coral and shellfish such as scallops can be found where they dredged the ICW. South Carolina was waterfront property as far inland as Columbia. A little farther north at the NC Outer Banks, the...

    Ozark Trails Camping Equipment

Yeah, the dome tents sure are nice. Don't like the exact spot it's on? Simple enough to pick up and move a few feet without having to break it down. Very quick and simple setup and breakdown. I use my 7x7 for camping alone in the woods, and we use my 8x12 when we go to the beach.

WHO is the hunter and who is the HUNTED ??

OK, the locator siren makes sense now. One of the barrier islands we camp on has coyotes. When a siren goes by on the mainland, we can often hear them making racket. It's a little un nerving to hear that and be out there camping, which is why I started carrying my pistol on trips out there...

WHO is the hunter and who is the HUNTED ??

If you know where their game camera is, you could always swap the SD card with one that's pre-loaded with some good wildlife pictures: You get the idea...... :LOL2:
