    Seat base?

There are a couple of options on one of this sites sponsors page. A.J. McCallum. Look under “seat accessories”......... Very similar to your pic and lower cost.

    Seat base maybe sliding

If your mounting area runs with the keel instead of the beam then you might have an issue with it sliding forward or backwards when your moving. It’s only your weight that stops them from sliding.....

I have a bulge in my bottom and would like to remedy it.

I would be careful as you may cause more damage than it’s worth. The title you chose had me afraid to open the thread :LOL2:

    Kings Starboard

Thanks Dale. Looks like I have a plan now. I can’t believe the price of Starboard! However it’s no more expensive than wood now a days. :LOL2:

    Kings Starboard

Fastening Kings Starboard I want to put a seat with a quick disconnect on my bench top. I don’t have access to the underside and I dont want it to tear out or oil can the aluminum. I was planning to put 1/2 inch starboard down on the bench top as a reinforcement. I can screw in the starboard...

    Two in one?

Picked up a Marinco Miniblast horn and a button yesterday from West Marine. I found a place on a flat bracket under my console to mount it where it won’t get wet. Two #10 pan heads, flat washers, and locking nuts. The horn came with lead wires already attached. The switch had screw terminals...

    Two in one?

Thank you Dale. As far as a horn......I have a 16 ft. Utility type aluminum with a side console. Are the small electric horns loud enough to be mounted under the console? It seems counter intuitive to me but I do see plenty of folks have them there. This is the horn I was thinking about...

    Two in one?

I have a 5 switch board on my boat. Its the circuit breaker type (no fuses). 4 are used for the boats lights, fish Finder, pump, and livewell. I would like to add a USB port but I also want a horn. Can I run both items back to the the one circuit switch? I would be feeding two wires back to one...

    Info on Grumman/Evinrude combo

So did you get it? I still see a lot of those boats getting used in the salt water (Raritan Bay and adjacent rivers) here in NJ. The marketing literature states it was born in the Hudson River....(salt/brackish) That hull alone would be worth $2k in Jersey. That’s a good buy......

    Info on Grumman/Evinrude combo

Did you get the boat? The Grumman line was reduced to just the aluminum canoes for a while. The brand was taken over by the Marathon Boat group and put back into production not too long ago. That company also had the Duranautic line of boats. In the early 2000’s the Duranautic and Grumman...

Older 12’ Duranautic - Advice on some mods needed (1st project)

I am a fan of Duranautic boats and had the 13 ft.model and currently have the 16 side console. If you are looking for info on the boat, the current manufacturer is Marathon boats in NY state. I’m not sure about the 12 ft.model but there maybe a week space at the very center of the bench...

I think I'm done with Minn Kota

I bought a Motor Guide Xi3 with the spot lock gps saltwater version form6 16 ft aluminum. No troubles at all but that is a sample size of only one. Got it and all the other peripheral stuff from trolling motors dot net.

    Need a new reel....

Blew the main gear on a Tsunami Shield 3000 (Bimini Bay brand). They were the hot discussion on some salty sites a couple of years ago. Anyhow, although it was sealed well, everything else about it turned out to be a flop. The main gear was pot metal (aka chineesium) and it didn’t last. It was...

    Motorguide xi3

Spent the day fishing a local saltwater river for fall striper. I put the Motorguide through it’s paces. The 55 lb thrust held up well in the wind and current. Got a few nice fish and some little schoolies. I hope the weather holds out so I can play with it again next week.

    Motorguide xi3

I fancy myself a thinking man which can be both good and a curse. I ended up rethinking my battery and charger location. Giving up that deck space was not sitting well with me the more I thought about it. I can be oblivious to my surroundings when I’m hooked up to a big striper and I could see...

    Quite a rush

I bought a 30 ETec about 3 years ago. It’s a two stroke but you wouldnt know it other than having to add oil to the reservoir. It’s nice and quiet.

Where do you keep your Boat?

I keep a 16 ft side console tinny on the trailer in my driveway under a cover. I use a heavy weight tarp over the winter because it snows here. The previous sentence just made me sigh. It’s about that time.

    Motorguide xi3

Installed the connector in the dash and did the wires. I am pretty much done. I just need to get some zip ties for cable management.
