How many of you like night fishing?

I love night fishing. We weren’t as prepared as we thought we were. Main thing I haven’t finished that lake enough to know it that well. I lived on a lake for a few years and went night fishing all the time. I’ll fish all winter here in Texas. By the time it warms back up I plan on knowing the...

How many of you like night fishing?

As far as night fishing I haven’t been since a month ago when on the way back to the launch I hadn’t set a weigh point when we headed out so I’m trying to fallow a channel since the lake is 6’ low. I would shine a small spotlight every few seconds but couldn’t find the buoys I was looking for...

Help! My nice one year old Sun-Dura boat cover is black from oak tree sap.

Thanks. I’m going to try and put a machine I have to use. Find a cleaner I can pretreat an area with then after letting it sit I’ll use the machine to spray hot water and scrub with the brush it has. Then extract everything from the area. Probably give it a second rinse. When I was a young man I...

    Cleaning boat cover

This one has a seven year warranty but after reading it I’d just about have to keep the boat in the house. I keep saying I’m going to clean up and rearrange my shop and see if I can have a hole to stick it in. When we first moved hear I had the shop organized and neat. I kept my sister’s little...

Help! My nice one year old Sun-Dura boat cover is black from oak tree sap.

Thank you sir. How ever I end up cleaning it I bet it won’t take me three days like my truck. I did all that by hand. I told my wife I want a random orbital polisher for Christmas.

    Cleaning boat cover

I was looking at this old popost and realized I left y’all hanging. Carver also recommended 303 all purpose cleaner approved by Sunbrella. It got all the stains out with a soft brush. After it dried I hit it with 303 marine fabric guard. My cover was khaki again and all I’ve had to do is dust it...

Help! My nice one year old Sun-Dura boat cover is black from oak tree sap.

I’m planning on retreating it once I get it cleaned. Just like my truck. I had to remove everything down to the clear coat. And then the sap had already etched its way into the surface. I got lucky and was able To polish it out along with the scratches I made removing the sap. I tried a small...

Help! My nice one year old Sun-Dura boat cover is black from oak tree sap.

We’ve been living here since 2013 and have never had the oak trees put off so much sap. And it was all within a few days. It was literally raining the stuff. My neighbors trees did the same thing she’s a little upset about her Charger. Not five minutes ago I was looking at HarborFreight extended...

Help! My nice one year old Sun-Dura boat cover is black from oak tree sap.

Hey thanks. There’s isopropyl alcohol in some of the waterproofing sprays for boat covers. I hadn’t considered it. Maybe that and warm water? Yea part of me wants to soak it in something and hit it with the pressure washer. But kind of made a promise as to how many years it was going to last...

Help! My nice one year old Sun-Dura boat cover is black from oak tree sap.

Unfortunately exposing the cover to tree sap is one of the many things that void the 7 year warranty. I’m almost supposed to have it parked inside somewhere after reading it all. Lol I’ll go to their q&a and ask for advice.

Help! My nice one year old Sun-Dura boat cover is black from oak tree sap.

A couple weeks ago I put my truck up on stands and upgraded all four brakes. During the process I noticed the second day sap was falling out of the big oak tree I was under. Never seen anything like it. Sap fell like snow for three days. By the time I finished my truck the bed was full of Acorns...

    Transducer kicking up spray

X2. I know mine would work better if it wasn’t for my hull. Never thought of using something to smooth it out for the transducer.

That is awesome! Glad to see a youngster doing something like. I believe it makes them better adults. It’s going to be funny now that you have all those lures. And you go fishing next thing you know a fish comes to the surface and says , hey buddy where’s the kid at? Lol Wonder how much it cost...

    Trolling motor acting up

Mine is still parts in a box. Haven’t been able to order the new parts. I’d like to put a longer shaft on it but the wires aren’t long enough. I’m good at splicing with heat shrink adhesive connectors though. I still haven’t got the shaft I melted out of the case. Been using a back up motor...

How many of you like night fishing?

Nenenenene! I played a night tournament once (everyone was pretty full of their choice of beverage by T time) and they gave us golf balls that glowed. They where like striking a marble. The flags glowed too and everyone kept moving them off the green into sand traps etc.
