Considering a set of Load Guide Posts - Any Rec's?

The company is Ve-Ve Outdoors (formerly Ve-Ve, Inc). The new owners have not yet made the new website available to public (under construction). As soon as I hear from owner, I'll post a thread on the topic of side/post guides. I plan on getting a set of the side guides as well.

Considering a set of Load Guide Posts - Any Rec's?

Mounted the posts and I will see how they work at next launch. Product is of very good quality and I really like the powder coating on metal parts to match most black trailers and the nice finish on the black 2" posts. These mounts use (on top of trailer frame) a top hat plate, a flat plate...

    Hey y’all from Alabama

Welcome! As others have mentioned, be careful with that 115hp. Find correct specs and stick to it for everyones safety. Remember, that the motors of that vintage were 2 strokes which are lighter than current 4 strokes.... so that also needs to be considered. Enjoy, and share pics of your build!

    Censorship

I just logged on to review the latest boat topics and found this thread. I am a paid subscriber and have been a long time participant on this website. In my personal experience, there are a great bunch of boaters/fisherman with great attitudes and knowledge about boats, boating, and fishing on...

Considering a set of Load Guide Posts - Any Rec's?

I'm thinking the guide posts provide: A visual guide when loading boat as well as trailer depth. They can even be marked to indicate, not only rear of trailer depth, but bunk depth, once various measurements have been taken. As boat is retrieved/loaded and enters the guides, they prevent...

Considering a set of Load Guide Posts - Any Rec's?

I am going to revisit the guide bunk application. I did have them on my last boat (Alumacraft) and they worked great. I'll have to check a few things the next time I'm at the ramp and loading the boat... my hull height relative to guide bunks and guide bunks height relative to through hulls...

Considering a set of Load Guide Posts - Any Rec's?

My current guide boards are low when using most my local ramps. My local ramps are steep and the area is windy when I return at the end of fishing. With the steep angle and wind....guide boards do little to no good. The hitting of the through hull is also a concern.

Considering a set of Load Guide Posts - Any Rec's?

My tracker came with short (2') side load guides. They are about 2' above trailer frame. Unfortunately, many owner's of the newer PG V16SC models have experienced issues with side guide boards hitting the edge of hull mounted through hulls (cracking them) when loading boat onto trailer. The...

    1969 StarCraft OFFSHORE V

Beautiful job! The before and after is simply...WOW! Curious...what is the MAX OB rating and passenger weight capacity? I would think you could take a 2 stroke HP of stated motor capacity and year of boat and that would give you a weight capacity and then compare it to your new 115 weight and...

    Best Trolling Motor Plug/Receptacle

The reason I prefer making my own cables is that the terminals are rarely the same size on both ends of cable needed....ex. battery to breaker are different size ring terminals. Breaker to TM...different. Plus the 6AWG I use needed a step down butt connector to the Terrova cable that was 8/10...

    40HP Mercury question

On many Mercs.... that second fuel fuel filter is on right side down deep at bottom of cowling. I little challenging to get to. IMO....OEM service manuals are the only way to go..... https://publications.brunswick.com/category-s/1825.htm NOTE: They are ordered by serial number.

    Best Trolling Motor Plug/Receptacle

When I installed my LiFePO batts I went with a Minn Kota TM receptacle/plug. Vey high quality. So far so good! https://minnkota.johnsonoutdoors.com/us/shop/accessories/trolling-motor/mkr-28-trolling-motor-plug-and-receptacle

How’s the weather been this boating season in your area?

Here in the Socal desert it's been a long hot summer. Typical hot summer days range between 85F-105F. However, this summer we have had more consecutive hot days between 95F-102F. I'm guessing we have had over 50 consecutive days between 95F-108F between June-Sept. We have never had this many...

    What a day... (Long Rant)

Kudos to you for taking great care of your friend! Keep an eye on him, as a lack of communication, social interaction, and willingness to participate in past interests can be a sign of depression. Losing a life partner after 41 years can be devastating.

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

Our application....I'm 265#, buddy is 260#, and we both sat on them (at bow) at 20mph, wind chop (15-18 knots of wind) and white caps, with not a single issue. The pedestals are fit very snugly so there it is unlikely they can be lifted as described in your situation. The straps were never an...

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

My buddy decided to purchase two of the Pro-M model seats for his '23 Bass Buggy 18DLX. These are the anodized models. Wow! They are very comfortable. The quality of the build is excellent. We sat in them for approx 3 hours and they are MUCH more comfortable than the OEM cushioned seat that...

    Boating Etiquette

Unfortunately, there are no "etiquette" related questions, at least, on the CA Boater Card nor on USCG courses for recreational boaters (that I can recall). I possess the CA Boater Card and USCG certifications. I have been boating since 1980. It just dawned on me that I have split the last 44...

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

What issues did you have with the straps? The anodized version (Pro-M series) requires drilling frame to use the cables, where as the non anodized version (B series) comes pre drilled.

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

Read a post on this forum from June 2024 that these Millenium seats get very hard after the fabric "stretches out." For those that have used them for a few years....have yours stretched out?
