Is BRP in some trouble or are they predicting a slowdown in the industry?

    Electric only power

I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but oars are a far better way then paddles. That said, assuming your battery was drained to 10%, what % increase would one expect at say 4 hours of direct sunlight on 1, 100 watt panel?

Sorry about that, not sure how I saw it as a reply to my post.

    1969 StarCraft OFFSHORE V

If you're getting 49 I'd say you're doing well on speed especially for a 115. Drop her down and see how she responds. You may want to look into a 4 blade prop for a better bite.

    1969 StarCraft OFFSHORE V

Why drop it a notch? Is the prop blowing out? If not I'd leave things as they are. But it's your boat, and you've done a fine job so far. Who gifted you that engine? Nice gift.

Powering your home during power outages

I don't currently have a generator. Not sure what makes you think I twisted generator and house wires together. When it comes to the old wires in my house I really have no idea. Next house will be newer.

    Princecraft Rant - Amarok Recall

Tell them to drill the holes and weld them shut, sand it down smooth if the plastic worries you. The worst they can say is NO.

Your first TinBoat. Post you pictures.

I don't know if the Ted Williams (Sears eng) was a pig or not. I bought her in April of 76, I was 13, she broke down by May and I brought her back to Sears. 2 weeks later she was back on the boat and running again. She broke down again in June, had her back at Sears and by the time schools let...

Your first TinBoat. Post you pictures.

Sadly all the photos I had taken were lost, but here's a link to my first Sears 7.5 HP for $248 and my first tin boat @ 12' and $199. Less than a year later I brought the ever failing 7.5 back to Sears for a full refund and grabbed a lightly used Johnson 15 and never looked back. Comparing the...

    TriHull vs Deep V hulls

Maybe find someone with a trihull that's willing to take you for a ride. Pay him $100 for gas and his time and go out for an hour ride.

Powering your home during power outages

My house was built in 1959 or so. The wiring has no color coding and I confess I have no tester. So I made my own, I took a pigtail and plugged in a bulb, flipped the switch and bam, she blew! So I reversed the wires, added the light fixture I bought, and all was good! No ground wire to connect...

    My neighbors 1962 T-bird

I ran a parking lot for close to 2 decades here in NJ. The left side of the lot had a decent enough slope, maybe 2 degrees (doesn't sound like much). But if I didn't spin the tires to make a small ditch before getting out of the car on a snowy or Icey day, they'd slide down that incline all the time

    My neighbors 1962 T-bird

Lesson learned, classic cars get extra care, apply the emergency brake, chock a wheel etc.

    Looking at a 14' Skiff w/ 25HP Yammy -?

If I were a commercial clammer, crabber etc it's a boat of choice for the bays by me. Lots of salt but a good stable platform to work from. Solid boat and can scoot with a smallish power plant.

    New to boat motors

Better answers then mine will come along, but clean out the gas tank, fuel line carb if it has one. Change the water pump impeller. Change the lower unit oil. and if it's a 4 stroke the eng oil too.
