    BRP sells marine division

Just my personal opinion but I think they got into the marine market at the wrong time. Several years back they purchased evinrude, alumacraft, Manitou, and a couple others. The marine industry has taken a pretty hard blow along with the economy in the last 5+ years and they are looking to stop...

    BRP sells marine division

Looks like BRP is selling off its marine division including alumacraft and Manitou. They will retain sea doo. Not sure what this will mean for parts availability for the brp built late model evinrudes. Hopefully someone will turn alumacraft around they we're once a great option for an aluminum...

    Electric only power

What minn kota 50? Some have the digital optimizer and will use less battery. If I went straight electric it would certainly involve a lifepo4 battery. We bass fished an electric only reservoir this summer and spent over 8hrs on the trolling motor and still had 45% juice remaining...

Social Security Cost of Living Increase!?

Va disability/ retirement pay increased the same 2.5%. Sure seems like prices have gone up more than that but something is better than nothing.

    Trailer width question

I launch in river systems quite often and the water gets low in summer and fall. Having the boat as low as possible on the trailer makes launch/retrieval a lot easier and keep from having to back in so far. Might be cheaper to swap wider axles on to current trailer and put new fenders on then...

    Legend hull crack

Odd! Both boats cracked in the same place? Are these boats setup with a prop or a jet? Only reason I ask is because jet boats tend to make contact with rocks/logs more often because of the shallow water they are typically used in atleast around here anyway. That or its possibly a trailer issue.

    Legend hull crack

Anytime you have a cracked hull welding is going to be the best bet for a repair that lasts. Is the crack on a seam or weld?

How’s the weather been this boating season in your area?

Dry as a bone! I'm in Eastern WV and several lakes are so low the boat ramps are no longer in the water. Oxygen levels are so low in the rivers fish kills have been reported. Heard somewhere it was the 2nd hottest summer ever recorded and the Potomac tied a record for lowest avg gauge height...

What have you been up to lately?

Now that we have a proper shop my 15yo son and I have been doing a lot of work to the trans am. She was bone stock with 60k miles on her just 2 months ago. We just buttoned up the suspension upgrades along with new wheels and tires. It also got all new brakes along with stainless brake lines...

    Review of Garmin force T-motor

I've had mine for 2 years now and haven't had any of the issues you speak of. I fish in really heavy current in the spring and my heading hold and anchor lock work great. My dealer set mine all up on the water and I would bet once you get your sensitivity and other settings dialed in you'll...

    What trolling motor upgrade

There is a way to adjust the sensitivity on it but I'll be damned if I remember how Lol I want to say it's in the settings menu on the fob but I may be thinking of something else. You may already know this but the battery life indicator can be changed from the 3 bars to a numerical value...

    What trolling motor upgrade

Were you using the foot control or the fob? I have completely removed the foot pedal off the boat and solely use the fob now that I'm use to it.

    What trolling motor upgrade

Your going to love that! I've had mine for 2 years now and it still impresses me. The only thing I don't like is the one button on the remote fob that is instantaneous full throttle. Accidently hit that bass fishing one time and almost threw us all out the boat.

    Plant Based Food

Make it a milkshake and serve it with a side of home made French fries and I would call that a good meal lol

    Plant Based Food

My family of 4 goes through a lot of beef. Typically 1 steer per year. This January I will get my first taste of American wagyu( angus/wagyu cross) Pic is the day I brought em home roughly 9 months ago. They are a lot bigger now.

    What trolling motor upgrade

With the affordable lifep04 batteries on the market now weight isn't as much a concern as it once was. I run a single 36v 55ah that weighs 33lbs and cost me $330. Compared to (3)12v lead acids the cost is pretty comparable but it's 33lb vs 180+lbs.

    Plant Based Food

Few years ago I was almost 260lbs. I went on what was essentially a modified keto/carnivore diet and lost 65lbs. My bloodwork before was borderline diabetic, hi cholesterol hi BP etc now my bloodwork looks great. It's not meat it's the highly processed things, carbs, and artificial sweeteners...

What have you done to your Tin Boat today?

Well Debbie is gone and the rain it dumped has taken our rivers from levels lower than they have been in my lifetime and put them well above flood stage. The potomac has risen 12ft since Thursdsay morning and has yet to crest. Might be a bit before it is safe to go boating again.

    Rusty rocker switch contacts?

Got to tidy the wiring back up and screw the new relay back down but it's done and it works.
