    Local Boat Prices

We rarely keep fish. I'll keep bluegills to replenish our bait tank at home for catfish trips and once or twice a yr we'll keep a eater size channel cat to fry up but that's it. I just really enjoy fishing and boating is my happy place. Youngest will graduate high-school in 7 years then...

    Umbrella versus Bimini

I do it all the time up to 30ish mph. It does create more drag and requires a bit more throttle to get there then it does down. Not sure what the breaking point would be with speed on a Amazon 4 bow like I'm running I'd suspect the plastic mounts would give at some point. If anybody would...

    Midrange Stumble

I'm assuming you meant j6c which is a colder running plug than the j8c that was on the list I posted for your motor. I would try the hotter plug (j8c) and report back your findings.

Not sure honestly I pulled it of marineengine.com I've had good luck with the company in the past and their website is easy to find parts.

    Boat Seat Cleaner?

Dek magic for cleaning and 303 to help protect them. I was given a small bottle of dek magic when I boat my xpress for the sea deck. It works great on the seats too. Kind of pricey but a little goes a long way

If new plugs don't help I'd go back to the carb.

    Stolen trout

Never hooked a bird but I battled a muskrat for about 10 minutes one time.

    gas or electric?

What voltage does your electric outboard run on? The only ones I've ever been around was decades ago on a big electric only reservoir my friends dad had a lowe 16ft deep v with a ray electric outboard on it pretty sure it was 48 volt but that was 30 years ago.

    Bimini Top

Yeah I'm not a fan of the ttop being so permanent. I have seen ones that fold down but they are 2-3x a normal one and look like a pain. We go under way to many low trees while on the water for me to ever have one anyway not to mention while trailering the back roads of WV.

    Zip Ties

Pliers...needle nose work well and yes it will cut through fuel line if you get carried away tightening them down

    Bimini Top

Front strap isn't attached in that Pic but it mirrors the rear in how it attaches. Have to look hard at the down Pic zoom in a little it rests against transom/splashwell when down. Boat is 20.5 ft long with a 98" beam.

    Bimini Top

I did and I was a bit shocked at the price. I was quoted $2200 for a stainless t top for my center console I think I'd do that before spending that much for a bimini. I'm sure that bimini will outlast the Amazon one though for sure.

    Bimini Top

I think there have been a total of 4 hats lost off my boat(2 we recovered)Never by me always a guest not real familiar with boats. I always tell them when we first get on loose hats have a propensity to fly off at speeds above 35ish or so best to hold them down or turn the ball caps backwards if...

Tried to paste a link and it wouldn't work but this should help ya out.

    Zip Ties

I like the stainless steel zip ties but you have to be carefull you can tighten them too much on something like a fuel line and cut through the line. I get them in bulk at harbor freight. They get used on all sorts of things around the farm and unlike most plastic ones won't degrade in the sun...

    gas or electric?

I wonder what his range is with that electric outboard? Seem quite slow though I get about the same speed in a 1436 with 2 adults and a 5hp 2 stroke. The garmin trolling motor on my big boat tops out at 4.5mph dragging 3k lbs through the water I bet on a small tin and some experimenting with...

Boat ramp traffic way down and fewer boats on the water?

We went out on what is usually a very busy stretch of river this afternoon and it was maybe 1/4 of what I was expecting. After being out there for about an hr we got checked by dnr and they gave my son a chik fil a gift card for having his life vest on. I have never seen dnr on this stretch...

Millennium Marine B100 Boat Seat Project.

Never used millennium boat seats but they make the most comfortable tree stand I've ever used and that seat looks mostly identical to what's on the tree stands.
