Anyone else admit to an OOPSIE!

Yes, it's called the "School of Hard Knocks" and I think we all have taken a few classes at this school; what makes us better and more knowledgeable in boating, etc.

Anyone else admit to an OOPSIE!

well, it was back in 1984 and has never happened since, I got rid of that boat because it only took plugs on the outside and now I have a boat where I can put plug from inside and outside for double the fun, lol Feels much safer having 2 boat plugs in the hull... I also use 2 bilge pumps; one...

Anyone else admit to an OOPSIE!

I have more than a few "oops" in my fishing life, the one that stands out the most is when my wife and I took our boat out for some fishing and I forgot to put the plug in the boat, heard the bilge pump running so I looked and the back end was down with water almost over the fuel tank; well I...

The river God's were with you that is a very skinny creek and to see how mother nature put you there, well count your blessings, Dude! We all learn from our "oops" I'm touching 71 now and while contemplating my life fishing I sometimes wonder just how I survived those "oops" tight lines and...

    Funnies

I still prefer to use one on my boats, it is fail safe device that doesn't need electricity to work.

Use mine but not a lot, was great for holding distributor condenser bolt / nut parts from back in 60's, still have them!

1996 Bass Tracker Restoration! Need ideas on framing+ advice with foaming!

I agree with airshot, seal the inside for additional safety and comfort; I ve done this in the past and never had any issues with leaking rivets.

Pressure treated wood used for floor deck!!!

That's the seller stating it is approved for aluminum contact; doesn't say anything about it not being corrosive and causing damage to your aluminum boat! Think about the Covid Vaccine and that it was supposed to stop Covid, not hurt humans, etc.................................Think about it!

    Foam Replacement

Today's lumber isn't what we used to buy years ago; I bought some lumber for a project and after transporting it to my shop and setting it up until I could get to use it, it began to warp, twist and become unusable as well. Spoke with a friend in lumber trade and he told me the manufacturing...

    Removing Foam from Bench Seats

The foam was installed for flotation and to follow USCG regs for flotation; only issue is most if not all manufacturers used foam that collects / holds water - Tracker is best known for using water holding foam (I had done several tracker jon boats and they all held water in the seat foam. There...

1995 Landau 1657 Aluminum Jon Boat Bethel, OH

Airshot is 100% correct, let them pick their own I took my son and daughter and both grandsons to Bass Pro and let them pick out their own, ensuring the jacket was sized, had enough flotation for each person.
