Bought a boat (I know Finaly)

You have to be old to get this reference, but you just bought a Street Ram. Be vewy vewy careful getting acclimated to its rapid response to both acceleration and deceleration. Be safe.

    Security cameras

UH.. get a softball appropriately-sized for the bat and scuff it up a bit, then keep the two together--obviously a casual play-thing and not a potential weapon at all.

    First Catch

May be not true for everyone, but a lot of us can still recall the first catch, not so much for the fish, but for cheers and special attention and fuss that was made over us, in some cases (ahem) over 65 years ago. Nicely done, Sir. =D> =D> =D>

Please advise on first outboard purchase

I LOVE the older Johnnyrudes! If you look at the threads listed at the bottom of this post, you'll see a 1956 12' Alumacraft with a 1956 Johnson running happily along worry-free. The motor on the 1959 Alumacraft is a 1959 Johnson which is just a trouper and fault-free if I do my part. The key...

*** Please Help Identify the Year/Make/Model of Boat *****

Welcome. Easiest way would be to decipher the shadow registration numbers on the bow, call the Department of Conservation , or whatever your state uses to channel boat regs into money, and ask them. Should be right there in the records of a previously registered watercraft. Looks like it is...

Glue carpet to aluminum deck or install plywood?

Justathought I've spent far too many hours removing adhesive from the various tins I've rejuvenated(such as they are). It might be impossible for me to deliberately put adhesive on the aluminum directly. I think...no...I know that I have and will always put the adhesive on some other than...

Removing crease/scrape in an Aluminum boat

As Dale said, this can be a cost-benefit equation, where the cost far exceeds the benefit. Try and consider the crease as the nautical equivalent to a beauty mark on Cindy Crawford's face. Consider that it does not make the craft less beautiful, but shows its sea-worthiness and experience...
