    A first for me

Huh. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=cunner++fish Interesting fish. That ocean's a fascinating place.

    Johnson FD-18E the $40 wreck.

Check your freeboard at transom with just you in the 12 ft boat under power. I can vaguely recall an 18hp on the back of a 13ft tin boat lifting the front half of the craft up so that I was looking at the front seat. Must have looked like an exclamation point from shore. If the lake hadn't be...

Here is Practical Explanation about Next Life,

er... some belief systems give the practitioners points for proselytizing. This is not the place, but really, no harm done. I figure if someone doesn't make their problem my problem, they can go have a happy life.

    Johnson FD-18E the $40 wreck.

Great purchase, bad trip home, great venison in the freezer, nice rehab to date, and a wondrous motor. All in all, pretty neat deal. =D> =D> =D>

    And the cupboards were bare

With the Herter's catalog, I was like a 1920's prairie farmer wife, paging through a Sear's catalog for everything from "good shoes" for the kids to a dream Craftsman House to be shipped by rail to the prairie. It took about 50 years for me to finally get an eight-shot revolver--the Trapper's...

    Greek Easter

A Greek celebration!!! I can smell the odors of tantalizing cooking meat and specialties items as I look at the pictures. Warn the neighbors, the joy of life gets kind of loud after a few hours. :D Happy holidays,Jim.

Take a moment and say good-bye to a great marine mechanic

Lift a glass, float a prayer, give a small salute or just wish a safe journey to a great, talented, and generously-helpful guy who repaired, fixed, or cured motors in the Southern Wisconsin area. Jim died in March, finally succumbing to stage four metastatic small cell cancer. I met him about...

    I did it!

Well ????? We need details, Jim. Pictures, personal insights, sense of the competition, and the response of the other contestants when they became aware of the reknown figure who has come to visit the rest of us. =D> =D> =D>

    I did it!

Jim? A little hint to bolster your chances at success in the fishing series: Some years ago, a friend of mine told me that in various competitions, chances improved substantially if she wore something slightly risque when competing. Just sayin'

    '54 Feathercraft Favorite

Looking very nice. What happened with the '70s 15hp Evinrude? When last we heard from our hero, it was awaiting tune-up and impeller parts. Be safe.

1957 Johnson 10hp back from the dead

Beautiful restoration on the boat and trailer, and the '57 10hp Johnson must have felt like it was coming home ! As always, great work.

Older 12’ Duranautic - Advice on some mods needed (1st project)

3.[i]Floor - Not going to go crazy with casting decks, but would like to add a “flat” floor area under the bench seats instead of the sloped aluminum. Something so buckets and tackle can sit flat, and that my 3 year old can move around on a little easier. I was thinking just a base covered with...
