That keel needs to be mechanically fastened with rivets. It appears the flange has some serious corrosion. Get all glass off and expose what’s really there then come back and post a picture of what you have.

Ouch that’s ugly, and it’s gonna get uglier. You need to remove all the goop and see how far forward that keel is rotted away and take it from there. There is not quick patching that.

Seems like you have it set in your mind about the 60. You don’t want to be second guessing all the time after you purchase it. Ask yourself if you’re really going to be happy with it. Hard to tell from the pictures but it appears the trailer might be a bit undersized?

Agree with the above. Even a small 5 HP motor would get you out of trouble. Lots of them have the gas tank attached right to the motor. Years ago I had a 5HP mercury kicker on a 14’ sylvan classic fisherman. Pushed that boat around just fine.

Take your pump to a quality plumbing supply house ( not a big box store) and see if they can set you up with something that will work.

You’ll be fine . Just have to be extremely careful you don’t accidentally have it set on a high setting when the motor is turned and then turn it on. It’ll throw you right out of the boat. I’ve seen that happen more than once.
