    Natural Camouflage

I actually had a bear do that in my neighborhood. He ran in front of my car and into the neighbor's front yard and then took up his hiding spot behind a maple that was at most 8" in diameter. He must have realized how ridiculous his attempt was as he took off running again before I could get a...

Any Experience with POLAMAX brand propellers

Seems to be an imported design as I can't find a direct sales front website for them, but does anyone have any experience with POLAMAX brand propellers? The price is exceptional, they claim to be built to the same specs as OEM, it seems too good to be true. Wasn't sure if anyone has tried them...

    10.25 x 15P 3 blade stainless 13spline prop

Now sold as the Vengance model of propeller as 48-855862A46 which is the successor to p/n 48-76232A-5 which replaced the older p/n of this 48-76232A-4. All the same specs. It fits my 2020 Yamaha F60, as well as the 84-96 run of Mercury 60hp 2-strokes that I'm personally aware of, though it's...

Marine Grade Plywood or Aluminum flooring?

I've had bad luck with aluminum rivnuts having the threads tear out when you try to set the rivnut. But with stainless there's no way to really put a barrier between the rivnut and the aluminum, so you're opening the door to the possibility of corrosion.

    MILLENNIUM MARINE B100 BOAT SEAT

I have the B200's (base without the back) and they're fantastic. Great quality, comfortable to sit or lean against. Dries out nicely after a splashing or rain shower, unlike upholstered foam.

What are your most used garage power tools?

I use the Black & Decker 20V lithium system. Impact Driver, Matrix Drill/Jigsaw/4" Circular Saw, 10" chainsaw (wife uses for campfire wood & light trimming), 8" electric extendable pole saw, string trimmer, light-duty leaf blower (good for the kids to use clearing the deck is about all) and a...

What are your most used garage power tools?

Black & Decker cordless impact wrench is #1 - I basically use that and a breaker bar for all mechanical fasteners unless clearances are an issue. I like that it's not super torquey - I know there are much more powerful options out there but I like that I still need to go back through with a...

    1448 Jon boat

If you're used to moving the riveted 1448 jon by hand you will not be able to do that with a welded one.

    No thermostat in these motors.

    Charging batteries

I wish there were a PV flooring tile you could cover the boat deck with and put all that sun you soak up on the water to good use. If anyone is aware of one I'd be curious to check it out.

When you say flooding the mid-section do you mean you have water pouring out of your driveshaft housing area (behind the swivel bracket)? If so it sounds as if the water tube isn't seated correctly up under the powerhead, it may have kinked the rubber grommet seat at the top or misaligned all...

    Lifepo4

Not that I'm aware of, there isn't an interface for the BMS externally on the battery and it isn't a blue-tooth model.

Limited number of uses to this point, but thus far I'm pleased. Trying to avoid my own confirmation bias, I did notice a few points about the Lithium that wouldn't have been possible with the lead acid. Most immediately, the weight difference is the first thing I noticed. Running with all the...

    Custom rods

Puzzling...1-way trip??? Is this a gift for someone? Getting rod blanks at the moment is hit or miss, then there's the fun of shipping everything that adds another wrench in the timing. I've got a pair of blanks that have been sitting on my workbench for the better part of a month waiting on...

Tried to PM you - don't know where it went. Those are certainly big fish lures! How heavy a swimbait did you have in mind? Transporting such a rod on the plane won't be an issue?

Speaking with Minn Kota's customer service they caution against using their trolling motors on more than 80% power with a lithium battery as they're designed around the voltage drop a lead battery would experience with that much current draw. I'd never heard mention of this before from any of...
