    Bee's nest help

If you decide to go to war with them yourself, take a badminton racket with you. I find it very useful in battle with the little buggers.

    Favorite Tool?

If I am buying Kobalt, I will go to Lowes. If I am buying any other tool, I look at https://www.tooltopia.com/ to see if they have it before trying somewhere else.

    Plywood Question

That is not pressure treated wood. It would be fine for your application in a boat.

    Bee's nest help

Been there. Done that. When I was a youngin, I was having a fun time throwing a stick into a paper wasp nest and then running away. After a few times the wasp got smart and flew down into my escape route and waited for me to run into them after throwing the stick. One of them stung me in my...

    More Zip Ties?

You could drill holes in those hollow pipes and run the cable inside them. That way they would not be as noticeable.

    Battery Voltage

If it was me, I would replace the battery. It sounds like you have a weak cell or two or more. The battery may be saved if it was started and driven every day and charged the way it should in normal driving. But that is no guarantee you can save it. If you drive it and then shut it off, it may...

    Electric Reels

I have worked on a commercial fishing boat a few times when I was young. They had reels about 2 foot in diameter and a car leaf spring as a rod with a block pulley on the end. They were rigged with steel cable for line. There was a 12-volt starter motor driving the reel with a v-belt. They were...

    Dash Cams

I just ordered one of those Rove R2-4K Dash Camera's from Amazon. It should be here tomorrow. I have had a couple of different dash camera's over the last 15 years. The first one which I can't remember the brand was OK. I paid around $70.00 for it. I then ordered another one I thought was just...

Wife and kids want to raise chickens?

Growing up on a farm of 115 acres we raised chickens, hogs and rabbits. We had up to 270 chickens at a time. We had a coop about 20' X 40' in size which did smell a little but was not unbearable. They used the coop to roost at night and were in the yard during the day. They had the run of the...

What are your most used garage power tools?

I started my cordless tool foray back in the early 2000's. I purchased an 18 volt Craftsman set consisting of a drill and light. I burn't up 3 drills in about 2 years. I couldn't get the drills to last. I then purchased a 18 volt Dewalt hammer drill which was an excellent drill while I had it...

What are your most used garage power tools?

My Kobalt 24 Volt 1/2" Cordless Drill. It gets the job done. Second place would be my 12 Volt Dewalt 1/4" Cordless Screwdriver. It is small and lightweight to fit in tight spaces. Third place would be my Dremel 8220 Cordless Rotary Tool. It is nice to not be tied down to an outlet.

    Grease seal thickness

The race is mounted inside the hub. Then the inner bearing goes in to the hub and the seal is installed on the hub. The inner bearing will be floppy loose in the hub until you install the hub on the spindle. The 40 ft. lbs. of torque is the preload to make sure the bearing races are seated...

    Grease seal thickness

On a straight shaft the bearings ride inside the race which is driven up to the step on the inside of the hub on the inside bearing and the outside bearing. The distance between the bearing and seal will be correct if the races are installed correctly and the correct parts are installed. The...
