Catfish homebrew baits. What do you use?

a grocery store near me sells pork and beef liver, both of which are a good deal tougher than chicken. I've not tried using them yet, though.

Catfish homebrew baits. What do you use?

You can use medical gauze as well, they make it in tubes, so you can tie one end, put your bait in, and then tie it shut. Don't use WD-40, its terrible for the environment.

How I solved the short driveway / long truck issue

Yep, I have that for inside the garage when we park inside in the winter. But in the summer time its occupied by my camper and boat. I have a muddy back yard and I don't want to not be able to go camping because I can't get my camper out, and the boat is too easy to steal.

How I solved the short driveway / long truck issue

Yesterday I bought a 2013 Silverado extended cab. It BARELY fits in my driveway. So, I tapcon'd two 2x4s to the driveway. Now my wife knows exactly how far forward she can pull without hitting something. Is it a trip hazard? Probably. But its easily removable and gets the job done.

Do you leave your boat or car outside? Hail a possibility?

Boat stays in the garage. I live in a very heroin and meth addled area, and its too easy to cut the motor off with a sawzaw and make off with a $1000.

Back from my striper trip. Check out the hog I caught!

It was a good time. Spent some good time with my dad, ate some good food, and hung out with a friend and his dad. That dock we fished at on the last day had a really nice bar and grill. After it got dark and the fishing died off, we went and had a real nice meal. Service kinda sucked, but they...

    2015 jeep cherokee 4 cyl

My rig weighs 860lbs fully loaded, boat + trailer + battery + fuel. My Honda Civic with the 1.8 Liter tows it just fine. However, I don't launch with it, we just tow it to our campsite and then switch it over to our van to launch with.

    Cumberland lake Ky?

I've been to both Cumberland and Dale Hollow. I highly recommend you go to Dale Hollow instead. Its just a bit further of a drive, and a much nicer lake. A lot less commercialized, and it has a lot more beaches, rather than Cumberland having a lot more cliffs. If you decide to go there, we...

    free boat on craigslist

You guys need trailer titles? Around here, you just go get it weighed then register it as a homebuilt. Thats specifically what the BMV told me to do when I said I didn't have a title for mine.

Made my own fishing weights this weekend.

I am honestly kind of worried. My father is my grandfathers caretaker. My grandfather turns 87 next month, has one leg due to a MRSA infection, and while he isn't senile....he can be forgetful. He's ok on his own for a few days as long as the neighbors check in on him. Luckily my dad and...

Made my own fishing weights this weekend.

I'm going striper fishing below a dam next month, and needed some heavy weights so I can cast way out there and keep a big live shad on the bottom. A friend of mine is a mechanic and gave me a gallon jug of wheel weights. My grandfather deals in antiques and travels the tri-state buying an...

I am so excited! Going on a striper fishing trip

I ordered a 12' Okuma surf rod, and I have a big ass surf reel I'm putting on it. Just strung it with 60lb test braid. Hoping to be able to put a big shad right out in the middle of the channel.

I am so excited! Going on a striper fishing trip

Out of curiosity, is there a reason I always see guy's with the bigger striper using a lip grip?
