I'd be interested to know if there are any perceived delays inserting the wifi vs gauges on the FF. I have a display connected to a NMEA2K network and get very good response on tach and trim adjustment. In some ways it would be nice to have "bigger" gauges on an ipad or such.

Wax pencil or crayon will work with the water seaping/dripping out. But reusing the boat before fixing can wear it off.

It looks like the motor is all the way down on the transom. If so, the upper hole were drilled one increment too low. If the lower hole is drilled to the top of the slot, would in go thru the wood? The best height depends on the boat, motor, the load, and how you plan to use it. One inch...

Yea, it is looking like it was a replacement. Do you have a wood plate on the outside of the transom, where the motor mounts? If you do, it is likely that the inside is 3/4" and outside is 3/4", to make up the typical 1.5" transom. I have a lite 14' boat that the transom is like that. Once...

I think C channel would be harder to get a tight fit. Does the transom wood go all the way to the floor? It looks like it does from the pic, which is unusual, but I not familiar with our boat model. If it does, my guess it has been replaced by a prior owner.

I was able to run the 6awg wire yesterday. It is all 6awg from batteries to the plug. I left the 8awg in the boat, since it is tied down in area that is not accessable. We should be on the river Friday for its first real test.
