    1973 Monark transom/stress crack repair

I'd removve the transom wood before finalizing on a repair plan. Is this for the 15HP in your other thread? What is max rating for HP on the boat?

What to watch out for: 1990(ish) 15hp Johnson

Since it has pull start, I ‘d focus on the rest of the motor before the electric start. It is fairly simple to diagnose between starter motor, starter solenoid, switch, or wiring. My 25 Merc had a problem this summer and it was the solenoid.

    Review of Garmin force T-motor

I’d be very frustrated too! I hope you do get it dialed in soon and get back to fishing.

    Foam Replacement

I would not be a happy camper, either. Going with the premium marine plywood, epoxy, and the time and effort. I’ve used gluvit with great results, and by most accounts the West System is suppose to be better. While the plywood was probably the fault, I’d be so pissed off, I’d through a...

    Review of Garmin force T-motor

I have the Xi3, but don’t think it maters which slot. On its third season and can’t believe we have gotten that lucky on every deployment. We do point it forward after aligned in the slots. Just in case it was last on a higher speed setting. I would think it would be keyed for only one...

    Jonboat Project

I highly recommend a trolling motor with gps. Having spot lock/anchor lock has been a game changer for our river fishing. The heading modes are great too. I’ll never buy another bow trolling motor without it.

    Jonboat Project

I’m a little surprised that the 55lb is not enough, and stepping higher will add at least one more battery. Recommend looking at the LiFePO4 for the extended lifetime and weight savings over LA or AGM. I don’t recommend tieing your other electronics or accessories to the trolling motor...

    TimeUSB 100AH 12.8V Pro LiFePO4 Battery Review

Two 12v in parallel, will always be balanced, unlike in series. Not sure about having a dual 12v charger in parallel. That works with most modern chargers and LA batteries. Just not sure with LiFePO4 and the bms. Maybe worth some more digging.

    Removing Foam from Bench Seats

The mice piss smell might be around allot longer than the mice. Back a number of years ago, a mouse was watching us fish from our old StarCraft. Never knew if that mouse made it to the bank or gobbled up by a Muskie or the like. ;)

    Removing Foam from Bench Seats

They need to make a flavor of styrofoam that mice hate!

    Stand-up jonboat

The ones I’ve seen, are shaped like a heavy duty walking cane, attached to the starboard side, just forward of your standing position. You hold with right hand, left on tiller. They must be securely mounted, but have not seen how it was accomplished.

Be careful of those fumes when mixing the foam: OVERDOSE :p:D:p

    POST YOUR PIC'S FISHING GALLERY.......

A nice 16" ADK smallmouth that wacked a spinnerbait and fought like heck, for its life. Brushed the line against boulders, jumped three times, and wrapped around one of the dock posts. The line snapped right after landing. Sorry for the poor pic. Not an experienced selfie guy.

    Flotation - Again...

I know the old white styrofoam sheets became a sponge in my '67 Starcraft. I made the mistake of re-using the dry sheets, and that became a sponge. It only got wet when it was moored and had a heavy rain, and was pumped out the next day. Otherwise, it was on an angled trailer with drain...

    Flotation - Again...

On your boat, the foam panels will span across the center and allow draining and a nice air gap between hull and foam. Or if plywood floor, may opt for air gap between foam and floor. If those side panels have no storage and are full of foam, the floor is probably just insurance. Do you have a...

    Flotation - Again...

I thought the Tracker panfish was a mod-v jon boat. If so, I wouldn't think there was much space betweem hull and floor. Using the boards would be easier than pour in.

    Trolling motor, how much thrust?

OK, I looked up the model and looks to be a transom mount one. My comments pertained to bow mounted. I haven’t used on transom in too many years to give good feedback. As already stated, your water conditions and how you plan to use it is key.

    Trolling motor, how much thrust?

I kinda answered in your thread on wiring. I haven’t heard of that model, but for the small difference in price, I’d get the 55. You would have to upgrade wiring but the 60a breaker will be fine.
