Do any of you run one? I have a 15' flat bottom (no tunnel) with float pods/sponsons, 25 hp Yamaha four stroke, and a trim unit that doubles as a jack plate. I'm wanting to get the motor as high as possible and was wondering if a plate would help. Any suggestions?

I've got a 25 four stroke with a tiny bend in the prop shaft. It's so small you can barely see it when you look at it from behind and spin the prop. No vibration that I can tell. How much of a bent prop shaft can you get away with? The lower unit oil was a little milky when I changed it.

I just picked up a powrtran tilt unit (kinda like a cmc). It has a giant dual button for the controls. Is there a way I can modify my tiller to change the throttle with one that has the thumb control for the trim? Motor is a 2000 Yamaha 25 four stroke.

I finally found it. On the shallow water drive lever, when I put it down to tilt the motor up or in shallow water drive mode; it rattles. If I move it up to lock the motor in the down position, it stops. Kinda sucks because I like it to kick up in the shallow water drive mode if I hit something.

I know on jet outboard jon boats a lot of people remove a couple feet of the aft end of the center strake to clean the water flow up. Would this be of any benefit to a prop boat with trim and a hydraulic jack plate?

Prop is ok, the guard probably saved it. Rocks and wide open throttle don't mix... I'll find a good aluminum fabricator.

Nope. I know where I broke it off though. I could go back and look, it's shallow enough. Long shot though, I seriously doubt I'll get that lucky.
