Good article about servicing small engines

"Is it better to run the carb bowl dry " Great question. I, too, am awaiting a response from the engine guys. I do know that my mechanic answered that question with "it depends". It seems that my two engines (1996 Johnson and 2007 Mercury, both 50 hp & both two-cycle) are different. I can...

Good article about servicing small engines

Turbo. I agree but the fact is...if we didn't have to use that crap, we wouldn't. My engines are both older than 2010, as are millions of others. Paid off politicians forced it on us and the EPA made it worse .

Who knows something about planer boards?

Thanks again. Those look similar in construction to my video's finished product. Different shape though. I hope to try mine later in the week. I did drop my unit into the water. It floated upright and appeared to do the job. We shall see.

Who knows something about planer boards?

Jethro. Thanks for the comment. Since I know NOTHING about these things...are you saying a similar design, but made from foam board, would be better? I thought the WalMart cutting board looked a lot lighter than the aluminum sheet that was used on the YT video. I understand "lighter is...

Who knows something about planer boards?

I didn't get a chance to do a sea trial. The monsoons started just about when I could have given it a try. Tomorrow morning, I am taking a new resident of this community and showing him 3 walk-on trout fishing areas. He moved from NJ and trout fishing is what he did the most there. At least he...

Who knows something about planer boards?

Thanks, guys. Seems silly that someone who has been fishing for over 70 years still is a "Babe in the Woods" on such a topic. So many different ways to chase our fishy friends! I found a YouTube video that showed how the two connection points on the board work. It appeared that the fishing...

Who knows something about planer boards?

LDUBS. Thanks, I may take you up on your offer after I do a LOT more learning. I was watching some YouTube videos on a planer board today. It looked like the guy attached his fishing line to the board, and that was all that held the board onto the boat. Then, he talked about the...

Who knows something about planer boards?

I think I was on a boat that used planer boards twice in my life. However, since my old wrists are giving out, I've decided that I had better do some trolling, instead of so much casting. Today I found a DIY trolling board on Youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZuAeFm3t6A )...

Over the waterfall in a raft...six guys in Pennsylvania

Obviously, no one would choose to go over a waterfall. If you have never white-water rafted, you really have no idea of the adrenalin push and sheer excitement (terror) that goes on during the many twists and turns. My 70+-year-old wife and I have done it many times over the last 50 years...

spll chking not wrking on sme sites

spell checking not working on some sites Oh, it is working just fine here. Just doesn't do the job at BassBoatCentral. Spell checking with GRAMMARLY doesn't work on the SUBJECT line anywhere. Otherwise, it is a good thing to have.

spll chking not wrking on sme sites

Spell checking GRAMMARLY isn't working on a specific site. (BassBoatCentral) It used to work there and then, one day, it stopped. Grammarly works perfectly fine here and on every other site that I know of. I removed the single cookie that I had ( I am using CHROME and an Asus Chromebook)...

    FORUM UPGRADE ISSUES

Lack of the auto-correct feature. Hmmm, I get auto-correct on mine, but I have Grammarly on my Chromebook. Free and I think pretty good. Every now and then it suggests stupid things...like BASSES instead of BASS, but most of the time it fixes my mistakes just fine. I have the FREE version...
