Parts for those mercurys are hard to find as well most of them are NLA and the ones that aren't are costly to say the least.

Have any specific questions? I am a fabricator by trade but I have not built anything for my boat per say but if you have any questions I would be more than willing to help you out.

So what is a good charger to buy I would like something similar being a smart charger in the 15 amp range not on board simply because my boat is too small for such.

This is not what I wanted to hear, the reviews it has online and reading on forums I was under the impression it was a good charger. Luckily right now my battery only gets used to power my depth finder and live well so wouldn't really be a trip killer but still it's kinda ridiculous.

I would stick with Lowe or Alumacraft in that order, when I bought mine I looked at the Alumacraft and Tracker and and the Alumacraft is a way nicer boat. My grandfathers Lowe is even better however there were no local dealers for me to go that direction.

How the heck does a set of points cost 109 dollars for this motor?!! And the condenser is not even available any longer! This thing is the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned or heard of!

I unpluged the cylinders one at a time today and it got alot rougher but I could only perform such a test at idle and not when its acting up at speed is there some reason it would only miss on a cylinder at speed and not at idle? And yes it will run at WOT but only for brief moments.

Tank and lines are brand new vent is a screw on top of the fill cap and should be fine. I took the carb off yesterday and there was trash in he bowl I cleaned it out and that's as far as I went I'm going to give it a more thorough cleaning this afternoon and change the plugs. I hope that fixes...

Just for some more info it starts on the first pull everytime and idles great. Even at throttle when its acting up I can drop to idle and it just sits there and purrs. If its not the carb what could it be electrical? I'm leaning on an electrical short because its just like someone flipped a switch.

Fuel pump is built on to it and it was rebuilt as well.
