Whoever left a message with the shop around 3:00....

Y'all are too funny.... :LOL2: PM sent to lovedr79.

Whoever left a message with the shop around 3:00....

...About a set of pods, please call back. I inadvertently cleared the message before getting the number, and then realized the number you left was different than the one that you called on (and that one wouldn't connect with anything). Please call again, and I'll be sure to save the number...

why are boat hulls typically measured in thousandths instead

For the very simple reason that sheet steel is sold in gauges, whereas sheet aluminum is sold in decimal increments. Just as copper sheet is sold by weight (measured in ounces per square foot). Different standards for different industries. Sheet aluminum isn't manufactured or sold in gauge...

FishOn Fabrications - 56 gallon Livewell and bow deck step.q

That's definitely not good. Whats more is that I can see them fine on two different computers, running firefox. I've got them hosted through photobucket, same as I do with almost all the pictures I post. Are you at work, or somewhere that might have some sort of internet blocks? Some of...

FishOn Fabrications - 56 gallon Livewell and bow deck step.q

The next project has been floating around my camera for a month or so. Boat is a 2072 Weldbilt that is used for commercial bait netting (and is laden with about 300 gallons worth of tank). It has a gunwale height bow deck, which is useful for quickly and easily releasing bycatch, but is a...

FishOn Fabrications - 56 gallon Livewell and bow deck step.q

Here are a couple small projects I had on the camera. First one is a livewell from this past week. The boat is an 1860 G3 tunnel, which the owner uses certain times of the year to access shallow backwaters that he can't get his glass boat in. Problem is, the livewell that came with the...

    Question around rebucking

If you can't get them to seal with a single light hit, replace them. Re-bucking loose rivets with more than a light hit or two will do nothing but spider crack the metal around the rivet. A new rivet expands to fill the hole before the head peens over. Once an old rivet has gotten to the...

FishOn Fabrications - 1648 Tracker Mod

Too cold for my skinny bones.... Heck, I find the North Georgia winters to be a bit cold for me. Any move I make will probably be South. :LOL2:

*****HOW MUCH FOAM DO I NEED*****

Let's echo this point one more time, as it is commonly misunderstood. Just because a foam is closed cell does not mean it won't soak up water. It most definitely will.

FishOn Fabrications - 1648 Tracker Mod

And, of course, a trolling motor pedal tray. I don't think I've posted these yet, but new for '13, I've swapped the semi gloss black powder coat for a textured flat black powder coat. Much better look, in my eyes. I'm going to try to get these on the website very soon! And, here you have...

FishOn Fabrications - 1648 Tracker Mod

Add some carpet, lids, and accessories, and you are good to go. In this boat, we put some 1/2" carpet padding under the deck in the high traffic areas (bow and stern deck, but not on the lids). In some angles, you can see the additional thickness the padding provides, but it does make a...

FishOn Fabrications - 1648 Tracker Mod

I haven't posted a boat mod in awhile, but as I said in the sponsor forum, I'm going to try to post a bit more often. I've been trying to push the shop a little more towards fabrication alone, and less in the way of carpeting/accessories, but still do some complete mods from time to time. This...

Duracraft 1436 Side Rails (not T-lock)

If you can confirm that they are the style used to mount the Attwood seat, I think you have your answer - a handful of Attwood seat bases to mount you accessories to.

Need help with replacing the wood in the transom

Remove the knee brace and side pods. The wood in transoms of that style generally is undersized enough to allow it to drop down and clear the return bend on the transom top. Then, go back in with an aluminum transom... :D

Please Welcome FishOn Fabrications to TinBoats.net

Thanks for the warm welcome folks! I have been so busy that I've gotten a bit lax in posting pictures. I'm going to make an active effort in posting pictures of various projects on a more regular basis, as I know y'all are a very picture hungry crowd. :D Check the site out from time to time...
