I have been in all kinds of seas in my 16' tin. It is plenty safe if you watch weather/sea conditions and make sure you have all the proper safety equipment.

Thank god for the Albies, they are my favorite. Bass fishing gets worse every year on account of the piss poor management that allows unsustainable harvest. I am not sure if you were up here in the 90's but the striper fishing was off the hook back then. Hardly worth going now.

Welcome to the site! Great looking boat. I see you mention using MDF, DON'T! Mdf isn't meant to be exposed to moisture and if it is it will expand and fall apart. You can use any exterior grade ply sealed with spar varnish or epoxy resign.

Great looking hull, appears to be in great shape. I wouldn't paint the bottom if I were you. I only painted mine because I needed to cover up the repairs I made.

Welcome aboard. The only thing I might try is to mount the front seat so that it swivels. A bit more comfy for the guy in the front.

I put CC in my Lund and have a 25 Yamaha. I got uflex rotary, not the NFB and I have noticed no steering torque at all.
