    Deer season

Drew blood with the new setup this week. Took a doe about 80yds, hit exactly where I wanted. This scope is amazing. Here's the setup. Ruger American Predator in .308 Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16x Seekins Precision Low 30mm Rings Looking for a buck now. Also I saw this one on facebook a while back...

Monster buck, most of us dream of coming across that size. :)

    Treated plywood

Those prices were nearly double this past spring/summer, wood prices went crazy for several months, but seems to have come back down.

    Deer season

Ruger American Predator in .308 https://ruger.com/products/americanRiflePredator/specSheets/6974.html Has the 18" barrel with a threaded end, which I hope to toss a "muffler" on there. It takes about a year in processing to actually own one though... so maybe next year I will have one. The...

    Deer season

It is coming up real quick isn't it? I'm trying to put together a new rifle setup for this year, it's going to be tight though with a completely new setup, rifle, scope, etc. Will have to have a nice weekend to sight it in.

Water Safety, Do you know what 'DROWNING' really looks like?

Thanks for the post. Something to keep in mind for sure.

    Resetting hog, worms, etc

For non oily type plastics you could try a bit of super glue onto the hook, then slide the plastic over it. I am gluing my Z man baits to jig heads now, and they are nearly indestructible. The plastic is ridiculously tough and gluing it to the head means you don't have to reset it and won't lose...

    86 Starcraft BASSV170 Rebuild/refit

For how much gas you need, will depend on how you fish and how far you have to go to fish. If you don't need to make long runs on the big engine then probably alright with smaller portable tank. If you will need to travel a lot during your time on the water then the built in tank may be...

I hate when that happens :P I can just barely get ours in with the engine mounted, it's a struggle though.

First trip of the year with fixed up boat = new PB

It was a Z-Man TRD Crawz, in a greenish color, maybe "California Craw" on a I want to say 3/16 oz jig, that mushroom head style popular with Ned rigging right now. That Z-man plastic is serious stuff, you can stretch it like 12" and it won't break. Put a dab of superglue to the jig head and it...

First trip of the year with fixed up boat = new PB

Couldn't have expected this one. I took my parents out on the maiden voyage for the year after all the work I have done to the boat. We went bass fishing on the nearby reservoir for a shakedown trip. Was July 5th, very hot calm day. I took the boat just a short ways across the reservoir to...

    86 Starcraft BASSV170 Rebuild/refit

I had ordered a new splash well boot, I think it was Sea Dog brand a few months ago, and after 2 months of not shipping I finally got it canceled. I guess they just weren't getting anymore of those in, probably made overseas...

I really need to figure out how to do the flush hatches. Wood, aluminum, whatever, my front deck needs to be redone. I know there are plenty of resources out there. Plywood on the other hand isn't exactly budget friendly these days

Teaching crows to pick up trash...

Maybe we just skip the picking up trash part and go straight to the birds crapping on or attacking the people littering? That may be some decent incentive to not litter. :D

    transducer mounting

Unless you have a newer trolling motor I don't think the built in transducers are all that great (just guessing here, haven't researched). The transducer from my Garmin UHD is pretty large, and my older trolling motor has a built in transducer too but is about half the size, so likely it isn't...

Using small jump pack to start outboard

I just used my lithium jump starter pack yesterday a couple of times to get my 48 going. You could probably jumpstart a small engine quite a few times on one of the larger sized packs. I went to charge this one and it didn't even register needing a charge. I wouldn't be surprised if my 1500A...

    Front deck casting seat choices

Made a quick video about the Tempress Guide Series Casting Seat. Haven't used it yet, so no "comfort" opinions yet.
