You can get a silicone liner for your whip and use that exclusively to avoid contamination that can lead to poor welds. It will also help with birds nesting. I find a spool gun is awkward and not as easy to wield in tighter spaces. If you are getting good results as is, I would just get a new...

I wasn't a fan at first. Once you watch a couple you will find he has a lot of good information he gives for free. The Tiny Boat bracket will work but it is flimsy and looks like a head ache waiting to happen. Not a fan of TBN as thier videos are nothing but one big advertisement.

I use a pear shaped carabiner with a short strap attached to a belt loop.

I notice in your description that this pruduct does not float in water. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the foam?

Just a little old (1979) Lowe 1448 that I built last winter. It now has a Terova instead of the Powerdrive. I also replaced the 15HP Yamaha with a 25HP Yamaha. It will do 25 mph with me and all of my gear and 22 with another person. This boat is awesome and has seen alot of fish landed!
