    Best Fishing Magazine??

My son brought home one of those fundraisers that sells magazines. I wanted to hear from everyone what they feel is the best fishing magazine. I live in Ohio, so only freshwater lakes and creeks. I do not hunt or fly-fish. POSSIBLE LISTINGS: Bassmaster American Angler - looks like a...

hi all new to the board

+1 Wow, that's a lot of ribs! I bet that thing is sturdy! As for your question...even if you add some sort of spacer, your still going to get some water inbetween the ribs. I don't think you'll be able to totally avoid that.

    Experiences with "Gluvit"

I applied Gluvit to my 14' semi-V and it took almost exactly 2 quarts to do the inside of the boat. Check out my mod in my signature.

adding trolling motor to canoe. what can I expect ?

I have a 30lb Minn Kota on this canoe setup and by myself I was moving along the lake very nicely. Similar to the video but a little faster with just one person. I was really pleasantly surprised. I agree that turning is a big pain in the arse!! SIDE NOTE: If you are going out alone in your...

    Tilt Pin Position Question

Upon a suggestion from fellow forum members, I purchased a stainless steel threaded rod to replace my missing tilt pin. Where should I place the pin to start off? From what I understand, it has a lot to do with weight distribution in the boat, but in general the fartherst hole from the transom...

    1969 14' Rich Line Model 15

No HIN plate on mine either. I'm not even sure where there were placed originally. I upgraded my motor to a '74 Evinrude 15hp. Not much more progress than what's in the pics. I hope to work on it this winter and hopfully have it ready by spring.

    1974 Evinrude 15hp Part Needed

I recently bought a 1974 Evinrude 15hp outboard, model 15404G. It is missing the Tilt Pin and spring. It is a long "L" shaped pin that can be removed and set in different holes to tilt the motor up or down. The part numbers are: Tilt Pin 0387524 (replaces 0378158 Thrust Rod) Spring...

Bow cap and transom cap replacement???

When I said transom cap, I meant corner caps on rear corners of the boat. I agree, a transom cap can be easily made with an aluminum brake or by using a piece of 1.5" channel.

Bow cap and transom cap replacement???

I would like to replace my beat up bow cap and transom caps. Locating an aftermarket replacement has been useless. I'm assuming I will have to make them myself or take measurements and have someone make them for me. Anyone have any experience in doing this and if so any advise?

    Kleen-strip or Aircraft remover?

I agree. The Aircraft Remover works much better. I found that the spray can acutally worked better than the liquid can. Make sure the alluminum is not too hot or it will sizzle and evaporate. Learned that the hard way!

    1969 14' Rich Line Model 15

Just finished applying Glovit Epoxy to the inside of the boat. It was like painting with thin maple syrup. It seems like a very good product. I purchased it online from Jamestown Distributors for about $115 w/shipping. My 14ft semi-v took 2 quarts w a little left over for touch ups. Glovit...
