    Mongrels - Bait Testers Wanted!

I think those would work great here in the Carolina's (Wylie & Norman). I've seen lots of small snakes swimming around in those waters. Those would work great by casting onto the bank and crawling them into the water. SevenPin

Ratchet Style Cover for Jon Boat?

It is one of the covers that iBoats has on their page - either Westland or Endura, can't remember (just senility setting in  ). I'll look this weekend. Not sure if they would have a type that would fit your jon boat but it might worth a look. Here is a picture of the ratchet from Lowe's...

Ratchet Style Cover for Jon Boat?

I don't have a ratcheting cover but the cover I do have a cover that has a rope at the backside where I can use a ratchet on it. Ratchet came from Lowe's and I just use the ratchet part of the package. I cut off one loop of the rope and ran it thru the ratchet. The ratchet hook grabs the other...

super cheap D.I.Y. fish culling system

I did something similiar. I used a few deep diving crankbaits, line trimming string, and badge clips. I need to find my pictures of them when I get home tonight but basically the same priciple. The deep divers float very well and I picked ones that were "brightly colored". I haven't tried them...
