Jon or V or Mod V

yes, if it is flat from the under turn at bow. All the way to the transom. And I think semi v is a boat that has a shallow degree. Like 10 to 15. Deep v has always had that 18-24 degree. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    1989 Bass Tracker TX17

Thanks, That’s good to know. Iam going to use the pink foam. Stand it up and cut ot fit. Then tape it in around the edges. It will be pressed by the foam, tight to the transom aluminum blocks. Leaving that 2” space clear to bottom of the hull. But that is just one area of many. Right lol. I have...

Jon or V or Mod V

I call them the same. But here in the Great Lakes. People would call that first one a v-hull flat bottom. Because it flattened out at the stern. A true v- hull holds some degree of v all the way to the stern. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What on earth is this boat?

Not this boat exactly. But many years ago, I used to see similar style boats as marsh runners in Florida. That nose is up and can cut though the reeds good. The stern will almost turn around the bow in a circle. When the motor is turned all the way over to the lock. Very hard to get it stuck in...

    1989 Bass Tracker TX17

Did you keep the foam away from the transom. My biggest problem was the very back corners have the cut out to drain water to the bottom hull. But in reality it drained on top of the foam. Sat and saturated the foam. So Iam putting a divider between the foam and the transom blocking. So when my...

Motor up or down while trailering?

you are correct. Take my boat , it is rated for 75hp max, but 400lbs transom weight. So in the class of mercury motors. I could put a 115hp on my boat. Because the 75,90 and 115 are all the same motor at 390lbs. But the rating is 75 for price point. The USG formula saids my boat size is rated to...

I just sanded it with 150 and then 220 to get rid of the oxidation. Then use Lucas, slick mist. I have you shark hide before and it works great to seal it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
