    Drilling aluminum hull

I'm one of those "if it works, it works" guys. LOL.

    Drilling aluminum hull

Spade bits are for wood. At least that's what I was taught. The "bat ears" mentioned in the post above are made to cut the wood grain before the bit cuts out the material. This helps prevent the wood from splintering and gives a cleaner hole.

    Drilling aluminum hull

Unibit makes the cleanest hole, but you don't need a pretty hole. The through hull is flanged and covers the hole. Drill hole, de-burr, silicon, install thru-hull.

    2001 yamaha jet to prop

Which part of VA are you in buckmaster? Maybe you don't really need a jet. I see a lot of people with jet drives on my home lake (Buggs Island aka Kerr Lake) that really don't need them because they never take their boats in rocks or water less than a 18"-24" deep.

handeling a small boat at a big boat launch solo

As long as you have your ducks in row, move with a sense of urgency, and don't look like a babe lost in the woods, I'm patient. If you're on the ramp milling around and doing things that should have been done before you backed down the ramp.....that's another story.

    Photobucket is retarded

I've gotten the prompt to upgrade myself and see the PB embedded pics from my posts on here now blocked. Damn shame....a lot of good public info will be lost on many threads. I'm just going to download my photos from PB and delete my PB account.
