    I have one, it replaced one that finally bit the dust. If you have multiple vehicles (farm) they are indispensable.

    You would IMO be ahead of the game to go OEM for your powerpack and carb kit. I refer back to your starter as an example. Your carb kit will not be a full kit, just SOME part you need to repair it with aftermarket. OEM will be a complete overhaul kit.

    Yep, I do a bunch of aluminum repair. Trailering accounts for many of those braces looking just like that. Especially with a motor with a high set or a transom that has been extended for a long shaft motor.

    I am going to go against the flow here. The weld did it's job here. The base metal tore, common thing with aluminum. It was stressed to it's limits. Yes, it can be fixed, but whatever caused it be it impact or otherwise may do it again.

    You locked it with that lever on the handle to the trim assist. You will have to make a lock and just lock it in the down position and use the T&T.
