    Yes it is very close to Helena mt, it's called gates of the mountains! And they have a tour boat that goes out so you don't have to even bring your own boat! If you do bring your own boat it's 5 bucks to use the boat launch!

    The sad part is, these photos don't even come close to what it really looks like, also there are about 3 campsites that are accessible only by boat! Think I'm gonna camp there in the next few weeks!

    Trolling was a success! Not a big success but I caught a decent walleye and a little pike. I feel good about it since I didn't know what I was doing haha! I think it will be better when it warms up too.

    thanks guys, its actually the missouri river :D i dont do much lake fishing here. but you were right about the medium action pole, 10# spiderwire and a 3/4 oz red/white spoon. we have been getting snow also. it snows,, melts, i get two days to fish, then it snows again. weather is crazy...

    lure ratings on my medium rod

    i have three medium rods, two of them have a lure rating up to 3/4 oz. one of them reaches its limit at 3/8 0z. all im doing is casting 3/4 oz spoons and some pike harassers, maybe some rappallas,, nothing over 1 oz. is that a big deal? please let me know from your experience.
