    what about boat names?

    This somehow fit me.

Got a block, help me out.

May not be a bad way to go there. I have my pedestal seat set back, I't be easiest maybe to mount her on the starboard side up there. THink I've read that it's a quick job to change the head on the motor to reverse it, trying to think how that'd work and which way I'd want it. Thanks.

Got a block, help me out.

Grizzly, you've got wood mounted inside the gunwale and out?

Got a block, help me out.

I can't think of how to resolve this. I'm borrowing part of a photo from another thread, my apologies and thanks to pbw. My bow looks like this boat's. I have a new Minn Kota transom mount that I'd like to be able to mount up front to use from the deck seat. What I can't figure out is a good...

    And it begins Lowe Pro-15

I hear ya on the heavy. I tried to be careful of what I put in mine, and used 5/8" plywood, but it's still so tongue heavy now that I've ordered a jack for it. I've got back problems now, I don't want to keep them riled up.

    which boat should I choose

Ditto. Too much boat? Not likely.

Your Boat and the Gravel road?

Hopefully maybe they'll grade it and help the washboards out a bit.

Your Boat and the Gravel road?

Be glad you're fishing on lakes on gravel roads, keeps some of the boaters at bay. I live on a gravel road, fish lakes on gravel roads, If it doesn't rain I spray it out.

    Lowe 1436

Well, I should have taken some before photos and didn't. I posted some in transition photos I took with the cell phone a week or so ago. But with the weather warming up I"m calling it quits for this year and heading out fishing. 1 thing I wish I'd have made time to do is to paint the hull. I...

    My new project - 2-1

Not familiar with the 5200, but i have used the JB to seal up spots. Had to redo my plug-hole which was out of round when I got my old Lowe, and most recently I converted the old livewell to a battery box. THe plug in it of course had a large narrow grip on it so I ground that off and then...

    Permission to come aboard

New myself, almost info overload here, too many ideas in one spot. If you have a dumb@ss question search on my handle, I may have already posted it.

    Tracker 17'L54"W Jon Modification

That's a really sweet hull and you've done it proud. Boy, I could kill some carp with the bow from a stable platform like that.

Newb has almost completed his Richline Updated 4-19!

Well I'm a noob too, but I used 5/8 on mine. Don't know if I saved any weight because I put my framing fairly close for support, but I can't imagine it not being heavy enough. Feels like plenty when I walk on it in the shop, but I haven't had her out of the shed yet. Alone on a lake will really...

    1436 LW Mod

Yup, having just renovated and hoping to finish up, when my seats get here, my own 1436, looks to this untrained eye like you've got a good job going of it.

    Couple of quick questions

Thanks again folks. Get this #*$*%^+ in the water one of these days and see if it still floats after all my work on it the past few weeks.

    Couple of quick questions

I hope that's written somewhere on the label, TCWhat? Well, the guy said it was a 1963. Whether he's right or not, I don't know. Is there a means by which I can check? Serial number? And where the heck would I find the serial number? Should I check or just go for the 40:1? 20:1, that's pretty...

    Couple of quick questions

Picked up an early 60's Evinrude 6 horse. It was pumping water okay when we test fired it before I bought it. Questions of the moment are: (a) Can I use any good 2 cycle oil in this old motor? (b) What's the correct mix ratio? And (c) Do I need to add a lead additive to the mix? Thanks guys.

    Aluminum angle pricing.

I needed one stick of 8' for my mods, got it at Home Depot. Glad I didn't need any more of it.

    boat trailer from harbor freight

Doesn't look bad, my 1436 would just go on it. Gotta be better than what it's currently riding. Next season's purchase maybe if I can't find a used between times. I don't know that I'd be too concerned about the quaility, it's a light duty trailer.

    Old Lowe, 1436

Yeah, but this one looked water-ready, I'd be fishing instead of waiting for my seats to get here. Ah well, when things start to go wrong with it I can always say, "Hey, I did that myself!"
