I used to carry all the baits I own And I have a lot! But, over the years I found that I only used certain types of baits so these types are what I carry most and they have really lightened my load.

I used to put my soft plastic's in a bait box but some of them melted and messed up the box. I have since been storing them in the bags they come it. I got a tackle bag and took the boxes out and put the bags in. This way I know which brand bait I'm using and which color.

That's a cool looking boat, I had a 1448 flat bottom Ouachita john boat. I really liked it. That 15hp motor mentioned would push it really good and you could get it going pretty good with a 9.9. I had a deck on my 1448 and it was very stable. My son and I used it to bow fish out of and we both were on the front deck. Both of us are over 200+ pounds each!

Your flooring is looking good! I have permanent lights on my boats, I know I'd forget to check the batteries and they would corrode on me on the other type.LOL

I've never tried the rubber mat but I'm thinking it would be kinda flimsy unless it's really thick!

What are your plans for it, you going to use it for hunting, fishing? Have you already taken the wood off the transom? There's a lot of ways to build it, you might look around on the different threads and find ways you would like to build it.
