Besides the obvious wood products, and overpriced aluminum what other useful boat building material has been found in Home Depot / lowes? I'm always finding useful building material that's good for more than the marketed use, but it devours my time in searching. Anyone want to share some cool...

Thanks for the advice! I plan to use the same frp panels from HD with foam boards for support. Would still be interested in any input for other design components easily found at Home Depot besides wood. I have plenty of metal suppliers nearby but they are closed on weekends when I am free.

Looking to add removable frp floor to this bass tracker but concerned the old wood floor and foam were structural. Anyone know how critical the old wood was to the integrity of this style of construction? Ribs don't even go up the sides...they end at the chine and foam filled alum boxes seem...
