You think just elongating what I have will solve my cavitations issues? Why would it be fine with someone on the front and then be back to cavitating with just me? Yeah, I did run the screw all the way in and the more I leaned it out the better it performed but It still bottomed out. I would...

Just got back from a successful river trip guys. Clocked it at 25 mph with 2 people weighing around 225. Runs the same speed at half throttle though. Checked the plugs and she running pretty rich. Need to rejet the top end down a bit and see if I can get some more out of her. Had the top end...

Don't know yet. I won't have time to test it before the trip so I am crossing my fingers! Work until 11:00 tonight and then I'm finishing packing in the morning and taking off.

Glass on now. I took renchero's advice and cut those strakes farther up to avoid turbulent flow over the spoon. Just need to let it setup and then I can paint and try it out! Wish me luck and here are pics of the progress! uploadfromtaptalk1400774129436.jpguploadfromtaptalk1400774139173.jpg

New spoon is on and bolted in. Here are some pics. Letting the sealant setup before I trim the bolts down and glass over it all one last time. I'm not sure if I'll have time to test it before the big fishing tournament this weekend so wish me luck everyone! Please feel free to make any...

I guess I'll just have to try it and find out. I would assume that anything is better than nothing right? I mean as long as my transitions are smooth it shjould only improve upon the original flat bottom contour of my boat right? I mean the flat bottom is the main problem with what I'm trying to...

One more question here guys before I go ahead and set this on after work. Do I need to cut out the spoon and wrap it around my intake grate or simply set it right in front of it? I'll be doing it after work tonight around 11:00 so any input is appreciated! Thanks!

Finished product after sanding. Time to bolt it on. If this doesn't work I'm going back to the previous design. uploadfromtaptalk1400682653324.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1400682700354.jpg

Well here we go guys. Latest attempt at the spoon. I really hope this works well enough for me to use her this weekend. I will be very disappointed if it doesn't and I'm stuck in someone else's boat. I won't have time to do another before the weekend with work so cross your fingers. Here are the...

I honestly can't remember if it is 5/8 or 1/2 plywood but I think I've got the general idea down. The old desing worked well while going straight but in turns it cavitated a little. Also, I think it slowed my top speed down a little being so big and deep. Hopefully this new one will improve both!

Final look before it gets glasses and sanded. Wish me luck! Won't be able to do the glass work until tonight but hopefully it works out!

I would but my last "test" got lost in the river. This one is getting bolted on beforehand. You think it needs one more smaller layer on the top?

New and improved guys. Was going to use pieces of what I had but I think starting over worked out much better. Give me some feedback here guys so I know I'm not wasting more time. Should I add one more level to it or you guys think its fine as...

So I couldn't stand not knowing and took it out as is. It is definitely an improvement! Honestly, if I didn't think I could get more speed out of it I would leave it. My plan is to take about an inch off the top to get rid of the straight/flat sides and shallow it up by about 2 inches by taking...

Got it. I've been thinking about how best to do this. I am thinking I might just take some leftover plywood and cut out the general shape i'm looking for. Something like this(I know its crude but it's the best I can do while at work):
