How much of a gap you guys leave between the lid and deck before capeting

How would you guys deck this boat? I want to add a livewell and front and rear decks and I have a 9.8 gas motor as well. I already have aluminum angle ready to get cut looking for ideas. I know how I want to do it. How would you deck it?

Do anyone know how can I obtain a U.S. Coast Guard horsepower rating plate for my aluminum jon boat? The jon boat I brought had one but it was peeled off and unable to read what was left of it. It is a 1975 or 1976 14' Fisher Marine boat. Thanks to all that can help me.
