Mine doesn't have a problem staying in the upright position, the mechanism being talked about in that thread is just fine. but i thought if you put the motor into gear, when tilting it up would lock and stay there even if you used that mechanism on the side to tilt it down

Yes, rebucking the rivets is fairly easy. I found a used 4x rivet gun on Craigslist for 20 bucks. And bought a set of bucking bars from theyardstore. You can also drill out the rivets, and put new ones in. But I don't think this is necessary after i did the rebucking process myself. i decided...
