    HELP!!! Trailer light issues

Have you tried running seperate groung wires from each light straight to the trailer frame? This method always seems to solve my grounding issues. Good luck. Use self tapping screws and go right into the frame, that way you'll be sure to be on clean steel.

    No tail lights

Hey there, had the same problem with my trailer. Kept popping the fuse on the truck. Check your fuse panel in tow vehicle for a seperate fuse for towing. I second the ground wire from each light to the trailer. Thats what I did and no more blown fuses. Good luck, they are a PITA.

    trailer rims

I replaced my 8" rims with 12" and noticed that I too had extra space around the hubs. All the studs matched up, bolted the tires on, and took her on a slow test drive. Solid as a rock. Been pullin her a year now without issue.

Going crazy trying to get appraisal for $100 trailer!

Hey guys, the trailer is not a motor vehicle. therefore, there is no tax charged in Illinois. Tell the Secretary of State its a trailer under 3000 lbs and go with a bill of sale or title. They will make you re-title the trailer for like $85, but the appraisal thing sounds unnecessary. I did mine...

    Blowing fuses

I can find that spot pretty easily and fix that. Yes I do have the white wire grounded to the trailer tongue with a self drilling screw to bare metal. How much of the bare spot on the wire needs to be removed? Just the bare wire or go a couple inches to each side?

    Blowing fuses on tow vehicle?

Question back to you guys...... When I re-ran the wires, I ran them through the tongue, around the frame to lights in plastic wire loom. If there was a bare spot on the brown wire in the loom, would that still cause a short/ground issue? If its not contacting any other metal how could it?

    Blowing fuses

Post subject: Blowing fuses Two questions, 1. Do the fuses blow out with any trailer you hook up to the vehicle? I'm not sure as this is the only trailer that I own. Bought it used on CL. Its a 1956 Norjack boat trailer that I refinished. Stripped all paint down to bare metal, primed...
