Will do. I wish I could get there more often. Right now its looking like it will be late May before I can go again.

    Patching holes and aluminum polish

Here's a pic of the finished project (well, almost done, there are a few minor things left to do). It's in Atlanta now, but I'm anxious to take it down to Crystal River, FL and see how it fishes. I painted the floor the light tan color (Rustoleum Topside Sand) to hopefully keep it a little...

Thanks Kismet and Fishfreek. I know it's hard for fishermen to tell a lie. I appreciate the help!

93 Tracker - Can of Whoop Bass

Looks good. If you ever want to take it off, the easiest way is to use a little $20 garment steamer. We had to remove the vinyl wrap from our van. It was a nightmare until we figured out the garment steamer trick. Just put some water in, plug it in and wait for the steam. The steam causes the...

    Mini Towers ?

Many of the (fiberglass) boats in Crystal River have them. They are used for site fishing for redfish, cobia, etc. I even see them on Gheenoes all the time.

    Mini Towers ?

Pulled this pic off another site. Guys on that site were saying towers/poling platforms add too much weight to aluminum boats. They say just stand in the bow and pole them backwards. But I would like some extra height when site fishing for redfish. Just have to counterbalance the weight by...

    Mini Towers ?

I've been wondering the same thing. Why is it that you never see them on aluminum boats? I would like to put one on my Lund.

Whenever I come in from working on the boat I tell my wife that I've been at the boat factory all day and remind her that she has yet to bring me lunch at work. I told her that all the other guy's wives' bring them lunch while they are working at the boat factory. Need you guys to lie like dogs...

Final pic is on pg. 2. Well... I'm making a little progress. Here's a pic of the boat with the first coat of paint (Rustoleum Topside Green), and the new seats propped up inside just to get an idea of the final look. The inside has been primed, sealed and painted with 3 coats of Rustoleum...

That Sharkhide looks like pretty cool stuff. It says it "Protects in fresh, brackish, and saltwater" which is good because the boat will be in Crystal River often. Thanks for the heads up on that.

    Patching holes and aluminum polish

Here's a pic of the inside of the boat. The PO had put that long piece of wood in as a multi-rod holder. I took it out of course. The inside is being painted sand color with hunter green seat tops. I ordered Green/Sand boats seats to match the new boat color. There will be 4 pedestal bases so...

    Patching holes and aluminum polish

I replaced the tiny little midget (8 inch) trailer wheels with slightly bigger (12 inch) wheels. Had to drill new mounting holes in the fenders and the trailer frame to raise the fenders. They might end up being too small to protect the boat from road spray. Guess I will find out first...

Thanks for the info. I read that if you spray it with WD40 it help to "preserve" the shine. I doubt that really works, but I might give it a try.

    Patching holes and aluminum polish

This is more of a refurb than a modification, although I did add floors, boat seat pedestals, storage and seats. I bought this old (1981) Lund CT15 to repair, paint and make a few minor mods. Amazing how well the aluminum polishes up on these more than 35 year old boats. It had several...
